Subtle lime & stoney fruit, a strong mid palate & some complexity (& from what I read the potential for aging) 10.5% alcohol, a lovely slight effervescence completely blows away my negative biases @ Australian wines. Very surprised when I opened the wine list. My inner geek took over when I saw it was the same wine I consumed last week but a different vintage. A much less open and complex nose than the’11.
In the mouth this wine demonstrated greater freshness than the ‘11. Grapefruit like acidity put the fruit flavors at the forefront. Once again I was a little disappointed with the finish but I think in this case the wine truly needs time to unwind. — 6 years ago

Smoky dark plum and liquorice scents and peppered clove scents Rich plum and liquorice fruits carry good weight and it has a plush feel across the palate. No formal notes. Quite rich , grassy and waxy but still lots of lime and lemon character . Quite taught , mostly lean lime and lemon , beeswax character fruit on the palate . Long and detailed on the finish with a toasty touch . Great intensity .
