Aged 10 Years Bottled-In-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Reviews go so far to say its the years best. I’m not there as I find it a bit hot w/o some of the depth of flavor and mouth feel. — 5 years ago

Niagara Peninsula VQA Baco Noir 2018

Solid Baco Noir for its youth. Not a lot of tannin to speak of here but a healthy amount of blackberry, plum, and a touch of leather. Paired great with a steak and the company :). — 6 years ago

Special Select Late Harvest Ontario Vidal 2014

Sweetness is lush yet in check. Mirabelle plum torte, tangerine, honey, white flowers, blueberry dessert at Piccolo, highly viscous but doesn't overstay it's welcome in the mouth — 7 years ago

Light, dry, dusty, bit of minerals, bitter cherry, good mouthfeel for a light wine. Solid. — 4 years ago

Very good but not my favorite of the single vineyards. Has notes of lavender or something else that’s interesting but not as appealing. — 5 years ago

Premiére Vendange Touraine Gamay 2018

a fresh and greedy wine. Very fruity and floral flavors. Light but intense. Gamay in Biodynamics, without sulfur; a real treat of youth, nuances, and authenticity. Delicious! 12 € in a supermarket, it's unbeatable — 6 years ago

Menetou Salon Morogues Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Dried apricots, lemon zest, grapefruit pith, gardenias, wet rocks, marjoram. Vibrant acidity, light-medium bodied, juicy-rich texture, lengthy floral-citrus pulp-slightly briny finish. Mineral forward, delicate aromatics revealed more on palate, lends itself to an array of dishes. — 7 years ago

Old Vines Ontario Baco Noir 2019

First nose of ripe red fruits, strawberry and pomegranate, moving darker berries scents, dried plum, hints of sugar (caramel, maple syrup) and jam. Medium-bodied, fresh and jumpy tannins. Fresh palate and tongue, gentle finish. — 4 years ago

La Croix au Garde Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Picked up a split of this because all my .375 empties got accidentally thrown out (I use them to store unfinished bottles in the fridge). So I was mostly after the bottle itself but what’s inside happens to be superb—lime, apple and floral notes with fine but not hard edged limestone mineral character, softened perhaps by the clay component of the terroir. I Sancerre-ly enjoyed it! — 5 years ago

Family Tree Niagara Peninsula Shiraz Blend 2016

Henry does it again with a lovely blend of different grapes. The shiraz is up front, so the pepper is there, it's dry, but not too dry.
Great price point at the LCBO, after the first trial bottle we raced back to get the rest from the shelf... sorry!

K & L Selected 10 Year Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey 2007

I haven’t had many bourbons, but this is a favorite so far. It has a lighter nose reminiscent of an Irish whiskey with some floral and vanilla notes. It is smooth from start to finish, and has that classic robust oak and smoke flavor you want in a bourbon. — 7 years ago
