The 2009 Latour has an open and generous bouquet: a mixture of red and black fruit and touches of graphite and loam. This vintage displays a light marine/brine influence. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, a firm grip and superb balance. This is very focused, with impressive salinity on the finish that lingers nicely. This is an extraordinarily beautiful Latour. Tasted blind from double magnum at a 20-year retrospective at the château. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2024)

Light, bright, and juicy Rhone blend with nice texture. Cherry compote, rhubarb, herbs, and stones. Last vintage of this ever made. Went great with spatchcock chickens, NY strips, and Art Blakey on vinyl. Thanksgiving. From mag. — 6 months ago
Quite smoky & raw. Gravel & raw cacao. The fruit really hidden right now. Barely hinted. After some time a bit of cassis emerges.
Dense on the palate. And quite burly. Big tannins, juicy yet very present. Great depth. Roast, cacao, very masculine.
This is way too early to drink this, still needs time to settle down. Brilliant but way too young. — 3 days ago
Deep garnet color; graphite, blackberries, and oak on the nose; medium acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like casis, crushed gravel, and leather with a long finish. It may be a little past prime, but it still has a little fruit. Best wine I've ever had. Nellie, Leslie, Ana, Sanjay, Jason H., Jason D., Desiree, Maddie, Ryan, Jose, Thy, and I loved it! — 4 months ago
Very Nice. Berry flavor. Subtle spice. Feels thin but smooth and full at the same time. Good tannin. Balanced. Would definitely get another bottle. — 6 months ago
A murky purple magenta color, but still appears young. Very aromatic with beautiful notes of blackberry, perfume followed by sandalwood, wet rich soil, pencil lead and sweet oak. Tastes young with tannins still present leaving many years for aging. Primary flavors of blackberry cedar and bitter sweet chocolate with secondary notes of cassis, new leather, pepper, dried herbs, and gravel giving it a long dry finish. Should pair with our Neapolitan marinara pizza and pasta dinner tonight. Looking forward to see what another several years will add to its flavor profile. — 3 months ago

Wow. Now I’m wishing I’d purchased at least a few bottles while I was at the winery. Super jammy and full bodied. Perfect acidity. — 6 days ago
