It was very good on its own, I would have preferred to drink it alone as opposed to a white tasting party with other wines — 7 months ago
Dark ruby with near black core. Abundant nose of cassis and black plum. Medium full palate yields black plum, tarry black cherry, and a hint of graphite. Fine (medium) tannins and juicy medium plus acidity. A nice step up from the "everyday" Bordeaux from the Comptes von Neipperg portfolio. Take it out or drink it in with beef stew, roast tenderloin, root vegetables, and other semi-rustic fare. Drink now through 2026. — 2 years ago

Bit woody still for my taste (hold longer) but quite something. — 7 months ago
