A little Italian gem. You never know what you’re going to get out of Italy but this is a beautiful wine. Paired with a Tagliatelli. — 5 months ago
Along with the majestic 2010 one of my favorite Stella vintages. So giving right off the bat, never any heat even in this warm vintage, just so fresh and clean wafting stunning perfumed aromatics with an elegant, detailed and voluminous palate. Always an amazing expression of Sangiovese. — 6 months ago
Ruby color with a bouquet of dark fruit, spices, leather, oak and floral notes, blended from 3 vineyards, long skin maceration. On the palate flavors of black cherry, currants and raspberry with notes of pepper, floral and mint. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft sweet chewy tannins ending with fruit and earthy notes. Just starting to drink now! Will continue to age. — 9 months ago
A little bit funky. Spicy. Barnyard. Mineral. — 3 months ago
At Sailor. Very funky, farmy, mineral, but on the lighter end of medium. Bramble with mushrooms and volcanic soil. Prune, red fruit, some anise. 02/21/24 — 4 months ago

The 2019 Zinfandel Giuseppe & Luisa shows all of the intensity of the Martinelli wines, but with an extra kick of floral overtones and acid brightness to perk things up. Cinnamon, crushed red berry, wild flowers, mint and blood orange all run through this expressive, silky Zinfandel. The blend of Jackass Hill and Jackass Vineyard Zinfandel clones on four different rootstocks, which results in different ripening cycles and harvest times, all of which translates into notable complexity in the finished wine. this Italien wine is divine! With initial notes of Strawberry down through a rollercoaster of four or five noticeable and distinct notes and then back with just a bit of sweetness on the back of the tongue. Afterwards a perfect lingering to enjoy…
