Feudi Di San Giuliano

Feudi di San Marzano

Sessantanni Old Vines Primitivo di Manduria 2018

Dark purple/black color. Aromas of cooked red fruit, tobacco and prunes. Flavors of cherry jam, ripe raspberries and plums, baking spices and vanilla. Pleasant note of dark chocolate on the long and lingering finish. Full bodied, rich, plush and concentrated. Lingering acidity keeps the wine in balance. Soft tannins and great intensity. Outstanding! Appreciate you opening this bottle, Keith S! — 4 days ago

Greco di Tufo

This is a wine that fits perfect on a hot summer day sitting outside enjoying the weather. Incredibly crisp and fresh, with the perfect amount of acidity. Pale in color, with great minerality. Very very good and would drink again — 5 months ago

Taurasi Aglianico 2010

After 15 years this is starting to shed its gloomy and cranky nature. Black fruit, volcanic minerality, tons of fiery and smoky nuances, refreshing acidity.
Very nice!

Feudi Studi Rosamilia Taurasi Aglianico 2016

At 9 years and with 6h decant this is singing. Expressive, juicy, fresh and quite mineral.
Black fruit, cloves, black pepper, dried orange peel + a warm rocky mineral presence. Highly enticing.
On the palate this is medium bodied, with bright, juicy acidity and a beautiful tannic frame. Quite pronounced but polished, juicy and slowly mellowing. Love the tension between the tannins and acidity. And the space in between. Very long finish with a mineral, rocky ending.
This is quite serious but so drinkable! Works beautifully with food (ribeye!) but also is highly enjoyable after. A bit of a meditation wine.
Delicious stuff!

Rubrato Irpinia Aglianico 2018

Dark ruby/purple color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of ripe black berry/currant fruit, ash, smoke and leather. Sour red and black cherry fruit on the palate with additional notes of figs, black olives, woody herbs and black pepper spice. Nice hint of charred oak on the medium-plus finish. Well balanced and powerful. Better as it opened up so give this wine a decant. Solid QPR. — 9 months ago
