This is fantastic. Light and precise and pretty at first. Some hints of hold but a gorgeously lifted subtle palate. A whiff of mint, stone, oyster shells and a hint of warm lemon notes. Beautifully balanced and precise- makes you lean in to feel it — 10 months ago
Typical laser-focused Roulot! — a year ago
Oops, forgot I had this in April. Drank alongside a '14 Roulot Bourg Blanc, and paired with a pasta with morel and scallion (light) cream sauce, with some seared scallops on top. This was far and away the better pairing, but it was fun to contrast the two '14s. With the cream sauce, the perceived acidity was perfect for my palate, so an excellent showing, really showcasing the minerality and citrus. Yeah it's Tuesday, but many pandemic-related restrictions were eased today here in cali. What that actually means remains to be seen... — 3 years ago
Poured from Coravin. Classic meursault flavors of baked apple and hazelnuts. Great acidity. Drank alongside an 09 roulot Bourgogne blanc. This was richer and rounder. Terrific pairing with lobster — 4 years ago
Tasted blind and brought by a very generous friend. These wines would be a splurge for almost anyone but this is one of the few wines at this price point that I’ve had that lives up to the hype. The perfect Chardonnay for my palate and probably the best Chard I’ve ever had up to this point. Just the right amount of reduction, fruit, and acid that was absolutely singing on the day it was opened. An experience I won’t soon forget. — 7 months ago
Made with assistance of Jean-Marc Roulot. Picking up some nuance and intrigue since last bottle. — a year ago
Reductive and rich, typical Roulot style but lacked a bit of the depth the Mersaults do and faded over time. Very good but lacked a little something. — 3 years ago
I haven't tried the 17 Roulot Blanc, but I have had the 17 Dancer Blanc. This is absolutely in the same conversation...better than the Dancer Blanc imo bc the oak influence is more constrained, and the mineral/dry extract is off the charts. This doesn't have the noble reduction I expect from Roulot (or other vintages of Dancer BB for that matter), but it has an amazing purity about itself. Absolutely lovely. — 4 years ago
