I don’t know if this is what Ramonet gets for their Chevy in trade for Batard but it certainly didn’t have the Ramonet mint/menthol. A lean balanced very clean rendition, lemon and other citrus, great texture and finesse, not real powerful but very persistent and enjoyable. Very light on its feet, it has a litheness I love about Chevalier. — 4 years ago
Tasted blind. Medium gold color. Musty nose. Notes of lemon, earth, river stones and some honeysuckle. Tight wine. Needed air to expand and gain some complexity. Developed that Ramonet mint characteristic. Great showing but limited in its ability to deliver the full package. Guessed 93 Ramonet Ruchottes. — 6 years ago

No surprises, though, very good! — 10 years ago
2011: lovely and very elegant. Not a profound nose, but alluring with a spring flowers touch, chalky stone and good fresh primary fruit (Apple, peach). Quite nervy on the palate with a distinct vein of minerality. Med- bodied, with fresh acidity and only lightly creamy, with a hint of oak to finish. Real top stuff. — 10 years ago
Great juice. Could lay down but it was so enjoyable today. — 10 years ago
Surprisingly little bouquet but amazing flavors of honey, butter after a light attack of acidity. — 11 years ago

Having this after much older and nobler wines made for a jarring experience, but after this stretched out it ended up being beautiful. I have less experience with Chassagne and sometimes find the texture to be less my speed, but I really like this producer. — 7 years ago

Still young but enough refreshing. Rasberry and blackberry nose, little pepper, high acidity of fresh red fruits. smooth médium tannin. good mouth feel. Hope to drink again after 3 yrs. — 10 years ago

Medium gold color. Heavy, like oil in the glass. Great old nose with a citrus feel. Notes of lemon, lime blossoms, wet river stone, dusty earth. Rich in the mouth with subtle fine grained acidity that builds with air time. Definitely missing some of the power and impact of a 1er or GC, but fun nonetheless. Drink up. — 7 years ago
Enjoyed this decanted. Very clean, very tasty! — 8 years ago
Still feels youthful, but probably best to drink sooner. The delicate and bright red fruits are what make this wine... Not sure it will be as enjoyable once the fruit fades and secondary earth notes dominate. — 9 years ago
