2010 and still very very young. Doesn’t mean not enjoyable. Opulent cranberry and tart bing cherry. Loads of forest floor. Very powerful aromas. More than I’m used to with Barthod. Palate is still tight and needs air. After a while it really starts to sing. Amazing wine. Want to taste in another decade. — 2 years ago
Superb showing - still has plenty of time — 6 months ago
Still incredibly youthful yet also one of the more open and accessible 05’s I’ve had. It’s gorgeous tonight in every way showing just how special the Fuées terroir and its 70+ year old vines are. It’s dark fruited, elegant and expansive, and also structured with fine grained tannins and incredible depth and balance to its layered fruit, florals, spice and minerality. Its finish just keeps on lingering. Fabulous bottle. — 8 months ago
