Reliving from the Provence trip - a good easy drinking red — 6 months ago
First time having this producer.
Right off the top, this is much sweeter than the CNP’’s I am used to drinking. The fruits here are crazy ripe. Blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries. Not much in the way depth or grilled meats. It is highly drinkable. I don’t want to throw them in with Caymus’s modern style but it is hard not to think it. There is some mid spice here, moist, clays, dry stones, some very light herbaceous notes, some barrel dust, light black pepper, loads of red flowers, nice round acidity and decently balanced, elegant, round, lush finish that lasts a minute.

A beautiful red blend of various red grape varieties sourced and allowed in the AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape by theSouthern Rhone region of France, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. The V. 2020 vintage is known for being wonderfully balanced, with a harmonious development of the grapes, and is considered a successful one for the region, producing wines with a good balance of fruit and freshness.
This Mas Grange Blanche, “La Font des Bessounes" is intensely aromatic, with notes of red and blue bramble fruits, black pepper, garrigue, mulling spices, licorice, biscuits, and tobacco.
On the palate id a Medium-to-full-bodied, with fresh acidity, and well-integrated alcohol with a minimum oak influence. Mouthfeel; well-structured, decent complexity, and gratifying potential to age as well. Cheers! — 3 months ago

A surprisingly gorgeous evening in DC tonight at a favorite classic bistro. This Giggie has loads of ripe fruit, but is drinking really well already. Very soft, decent acids. Some savory notes. The alcohol (15%) pooks through on the back half of the palate. But it was served a little warmer than I’d like, so that probably amplified it. — 9 days ago
