Pale lemon color. Pronounced aromas of lemon zest, white peach, melon, blossom, flint, brioche (lees or oak?). Still developing. High acidity, medium plus body, pronounced flavor of lemon zest, white peach, a hint of white pepper, wet stones and brioche.

I love this wine, a long, crispy, fruity wine. It loiters on the palette and has such great depth. Perfect to drink on its own, or with Fish, salads pasta. For the price I think it stands out from the competition. — 11 years ago

This is the Smaragd. Star bright yellow gold. Abundant nose of yellow apple and stony white flowers. Echoed on the medium light palate adding white pepper and citrus rind. Throw in firm acidity and it’s an excellent wine for a wide range of foods; especially appropriate with pork or seafood dishes. Drink now or hold through 2029. — 5 years ago

'Vin efferverscent' inspired by the champenois. But made of #cheninblanc. At least aged for eleven months. Made by a woman-winemaker Liv Vincendeau, who came to the Loire region in 2000. The wine is new to me, it was served as aperitive in the Michelin starred restaurant Une Île in Angers. It impressed me. Lively taste with mild but very apparent acidity. Perfect starter.
