Dry & lovely. Winter fruit, savory herbs, granite. Was beautiful with fresh baked bread dipped in evoo with chopped olives, balsamic, & herbs. — 3 years ago
Star bright pale gold with green highlights. Abundant and inviting nose of citrus rind and mineral. Medium bodied palate yields lemon rind, cement, and lily bud. High acidity entry to finish. Austria’s signature variety from Austria’s premier wine region gives its best showing in this bottle. Pair with practically any white wine food, including (famously) asparagus or Brussels sprouts. Drink now through 2029. — 6 years ago

Medium (+) intense aromas of lemon juice and lime, ripe pears followed by tropical aromas of pineapple, fresh aromatic herbs and a Pronounced and refreshing wet stone minerality.
Dry with a high acidity, Pronounced flacour intensity with a dense concentration with characters of lime juice, Peaches, lemon Grass and a salty minerality, vibrant acidity cuts the fruit and brings nerve and energy throughout a medium lenght finish. — 5 years ago
Vintage 2023 | I almost never drink a glass of wine just by itself… but always at dinner. My wine friends critize me if I state: this is a dinnerwine to eat with. They say: wine must be good by itself, Peter. I advocate that wine tastes much better with food. This grüner veltliner is kind of middle of the road (at this moment) when you drink it by itself. We combined it with a baguette with goose rillettes. Like opening the himmel/heaven a bit. 😝 — 2 years ago

“Screw top, drop-top”; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2024 Liebenberg pours a pale straw color with a slightly green glint and medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe tropical fruit, a bit of pepper and rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and the texture is creamy. Drink now through 2034. — 22 days ago
