Raventos i Blanc was founded in 1986 by Josep-Maria Raventos, a member of the Codorníu family, produces a majority of very nice sparklers, makes a few nice still wines. Green apple followed by Smarties and Nilla Wafers. This is a weird yet glorious mix of the flavors my youth. My new favorite bubbly transports me to a time of running barefoot through freshly mowed grass, doing cartwheels, and playing with fireflies.
