Les Plantes aux Bois Côte de Nuits-Villages Pinot Noir 2016

Still a little closed, needs some time or significant air but tremendous purity and whole cluster structure, red fruit driven with rose petals, wet earth and leaves, a touch of smoke and stony limestone character aplenty — a month ago

Domaine les Grands Bois

Cuvée Marc Rasteau Grenache Blend 2016

A bit dry, then sweet. Black fruits. Pepper. Complexity. Concentrated, fruity and spicy. It would be good to keep it for long. Domaine les Grands Bois Rasteau Cuvee Marc 16 @3300, Umem JH, 231223-240126 — 6 months ago

Château Bois Redon

Bordeaux Supérieur Merlot - Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

So good to be drinking this bottle again… the 2014 vintage was what started my obsession with French Bordeaux’s year ago. Glad to report this is still a fantastic bottle! Fruity and well balanced. Tannic and fruity. I just love this wine and will continue buying it, for the price it’s a great R bank Bordeaux. #nostalgia #bordeaux — a month ago

Domaine De La Grand'Cour (Jean-Louis Dutraive)

Chapelle des Bois Fleurie Gamay 2018

So I guess this is a Gamay from the Rhône? Didn’t know such a thing existed but this is the best “Rhône” I’ve had in a long time - mostly bc it’s a Beaujolais through and through - classic muddy/cloudy consistency, intense fruit on the nose. Only issue is that it’s still very sparkly on the palate, so definitely needs a few more years. Or a very long decant. Tons of potential — 6 months ago
