Big but quite good. Almost reminds of of southern Rhone somehow? Large dark fruit and that interesting herbal almost cab like background. A full mouthfeel as well. Had it with rich short ribs cooked in wine and buttery mashed potatoes and it was excellent. A great stand in for a big napa cab (like a real napa cab not just a chemical fruit bomb). But also significantly less in price. — 12 days ago

Excellent broad wine with many different pairing options with food. Definitely a good based wine though. Had this with rosemary lemon chicken and it was quite good but it could pair with a very lemon zesty Alfredo sauce or go lighter into an arugula salad.
Not perfect but good food wine that makes me want to have more vermentino. — 5 days ago

This is good, good fruit. But honestly John Benedetti don’t filter your wines this much… it rips out the elegance and layers on this. It also wrecks the layers of depth. It’s a good wine but after having your wines with less filtration I feel stronger in my feelings.
Edit: I have been having Arcangeli wines for over 8 years now, and this is quite fine. But I stand by my earlier point, which is a nitpick. But I nitpick because I know the potential is there — 13 days ago

Light. Very light with silky tannins and pure elegant fruit, this wouldn’t benefit from less filtration. An interesting winemaking style where it doesn’t feel heavy, but has silky Gabon’s and fruit focused. Not fruit forward jammy though. With some air some air almost like a vegetable or herbal note in the middle. Less fruit focused. But man those tannins at the end are so integrated it’s wild. Don’t taste that very often. — 11 days ago

Absolutely fantastic. Reaffirms why I adored this last time. Again very light green pepper notes, more charming robust raspberry fruit with some true elegance on the backend. — 14 days ago

I really really like this wine for what it is. Great (but a little much initially before air) green pepper nose with some fun raspberry notes along with the smoothest finish I’ve ever had in a wine this price point by a huge margin. This does show its price point on the level of integration and elegance with the green pepper and fruit integration but honestly… it’s great. I’m gonna buy 3 bottles and try it again. One of my favorite sub $20 dollar bottles I’ve had. — 4 days ago
