My fav wine — 2 months ago
One of Laura’s favorite reds. Nancy’s Feb 2024 — 10 days ago
Pale to mid yellow in colour. The wine was a little cold to begin with. Aromas of talc and lime marmalade, dried flowers - a faint paraffin note - No Kerosene or petrol (TDN). A beautiful aged Riesling from the Clare Valley from Petaluma - a long time favourite producer of Riesling. With air and warming up, some yellow peach notes developing. I see HH said this benefits from decanting which I didn’t do. Drinking at its peak. Sadly my last 2012. — 4 months ago
It took a while to open up
Still drinks super young with an acidity nearly as if it is a white wine..if it wasn't for the tannin
It hasn't unfolded much complexity, but it is long and super promising for the next 15-20 years

Gave this a good several hours breathing before dinner, and it’s just starting to unfurl. Still young, but showing why it’s such a revered wine. Plenty of layers beginning to reveal themselves, berries, purple fruit and florals amongst them. Medium bodied and surprisingly soft on the palate, with tannins playing a secondary supporting role. Delicious drinking right now and will be amazing to revisit in years to come. — 5 months ago
