Unusual. Delicious. Excellent minerality, nice heft and mouthfeel. There is a fruit coming through that I can’t quite identify. And some baking spices, but not oak or vanilla. It’s very nice and moves from a floral aspect through a pithy citrus and into a nice tail. — 3 months ago
One of the bottles from my annual WWC hosting. I opened this as a side by side to a 2019 Saxum White as the makeup is fairly similar.
80% roussanne/ remaining a mix of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, piquepoul blanc, picardan and bourboulenc.
Nicely expressive at pop, it then faded and hid in a shell for a few hours before coming back at last glass. At 80% roussanne, I expected a more consistent expressive profile (honeyed tropical fruits, some orange) and for the acid to show a touch, but it was a roller coaster. More melon and light fruits vs bigger/more tropical. Medium bodied but not as rich as expected. It’s clean and shows some floral and mineral/stony nuances, but I’d spend the extra and take the Roussanne VV to get more complexity and flavor. — a month ago
Honeyed, rich, viscous, very good balancing acidity, round and very long, lingering finish, I think fully mature (or very close), this is a brilliant 120+-year -old Lirac blanc from 100% Clairette!! (@Tom Casagrande, this is the other Lirac blanc, same producer as the other, back label has all information.) — 3 months ago
Quite pale lemon , straw colour . On the nose this shows good freshness with some white peach , lemon pith , white flowers and light seabreeze notes . On the palate this has a creamy texture with white peach , lemon notes , with a saline seaside tinge . Good freshness and decent length . I can imagine this going really well with bouillabaisse. Drinking well and probably continue to so over the next 3-4 years — a month ago
Really neat how this has developed. Slightly oxidative but retains a surprising freshness — a month ago

This is a delicious Bandol white. Rich, tangy and fruit forward. Has a New world Sauvignon Blanc feel.
Expressive and spicy. Complex and nicely balanced. Really enjoyed the nose here.
Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years and see how it evolves.
A great sipping wine that will pair nicely with food too.
