Ripe, heady, full throttled juice, reminiscent of Crozes-Hermitage with it’s juiciness. There’s some sinew to it. Coulis, Chambord, soaked cherries, cherry wood, bbq meat, creosote, tapenade, Provençal herbs, a slight kiss of balsamic, stones, licorice whip. Love the overtness of this 2018 has — 5 years ago
Still deep purple in the glass 11 years in. Throwing a lot of sediment. Grilled meat, blackberry, chambord, a hint of menthol and baking spices on the palate. Chewy and savory finish with plenty of fruit to balance out the tannins. I may be underrating this. — 5 years ago
Why not my favorite vintage so far, I feel this carries the warmth well. Rich and ripe without pushing the limits too much. The extra SY and MO components lend themselves well and this has some flash and darkness that bring a wild side to it all. Ive found some ‘17s to have significant brett but I think this balances well. Tannins are ripe but could use some more time to integrate a touch and soften their chew. Ripe black cherry compote, Chambord, roasted plums, animal, sweet spice and clovey layers of brett. 60 GR 20 SY 18 MO 2 CIN — 6 years ago
Always a favorite alone or with a splash of chambord, blackberry brandy, fruit.....you name it. — 9 years ago
Sometimes I have to force myself to buy a white that isn't Loire Valley Chenin ( but without actually leaving the Loire Valley, because that would be crazy.) This Cour-Cheverny made me glad I did. I've only had Romorantin a few times prior, but I loved the tart acidity balanced by a great saline minerality. — 9 years ago
Way way different wine than the bryant flagship wine i tasted tonight. Very different vintages as well. One obstreperous and one forgiving. However, i must say this wine nods toward the old school with its intense pyrazines and red fruit oriented character. A considerable earth tone that is consistent through the nose. A forest scent. This had chambord like deep raspberry aromas with hibiscus and dark strawberries with blackcurrant in the background. Magnificent oak integration. This wine was hard to rate behind their flagship 12 which had gained such praise but the complexity and finish of the 12 in such youth is a tad more compelling. — 10 years ago

Amazing! Spoke to lady at winery about adding frozen berries, cranberry juice or a float of Chambord — 13 years ago
So much juicy juicy goodness. Incredibly chuggable given its soft fruit and refreshingly brisk tannin. A more shouldered and deeply structured Crozes in some ways. Still not convinced that one should ever age a D&R syrah, so much life and deliciousness when young. Caught this a stage where some tertiary development was occurring, but a slightly progressed hue makes me think it would be difficult to keep alive for years on. Cherry Herring, Chambord, any berry/cherry liquor you can think of, Creme de Violette, Lavender oil, candied black olives, bacon fat, star anise, cinnamon, talcum, some slightly sweaty/meaty notes from a touch of VA, adds to meaty savory quality well. Performing well over hours of drinking. — 5 years ago
No need to ad chambord to my champagne anymore!! — 5 years ago
Memories of having this at Mangevins in Tain L’Hermitage back in 2018. Bold then, this has shed a couple pounds, still an infant in many ways, the progression of tannin and integration of its plush fruits show the progression. Amazingly graceful and vivid, its power is caressing suggesting a Burgundian touch. Ripe and liquor of black raspberry and some currant, Chambord-esque, peach pit, talcum, distilled violet, an array of smokey tones; smoke beef brisket, smoldering charcoal, toasted pink and black peppercorns, star anise, hot pebbles, iron, truffle. Smart use of whole cluster here, it’s lift and complexity bring volumes to the wine. Superb! — 6 years ago
Strawberries, a bit of bell pepper, and funk. chewy tannins. Very very good. Drank with Wagyu beef at Maison d a Cote outside chambord. — 7 years ago
Very nice subtle flavour; Sauvignon in the beginning with a slight chardonnay after taste. Easy drinking for the Sauvignon lover. — 9 years ago
Nutty, smooth and fantastic with chambord and lime. — 12 years ago
Fruity, light. Nicely balanced. Not light weight. Light but has body. Great with lighter taste plats. — 13 years ago
Pretty purple with the edges starting to lighten up to ruby red. More restrained style - plenty of depth without being really jammy. Blue fruit gives way to chambord, grilled meat and cocoa with black tea on the long finish. Amazingly balanced for 15.7% alcohol. Turley continues to make some of the best Zinfandel around. — 5 years ago
We had the 2015 Vintage on 11/18-19/20. Wet earth and red fruit on the bouquet. Tastes of raspberry, strawberry and even Chambord on the palate. The tannins were smoothed out. The wine is medium bodied and very good. — 6 years ago
Glistening violet color. Displays highly perfumed red/blue fruit liqueur, exotic spice and floral oil qualities on the expressive nose. Alluring sweet and broad on the palate, offering sweet Chambord, blueberry and spicecake flavors that are sharpened by a building mineral flourish. Shows sharp definition and spicy cut on a long, penetrating finish that leaves sweet floral pastille and red berry preserve notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2020)

Pinot Noir com certeza. Muito suave. No restaurante do castelo de Chambord. Maio 2018. — 8 years ago
Sweet red fruit and noticeable but integrated oak. Modern style and reminds me of a young bold Burgundy. Chambord liqueur, gravel, maybe a chalkiness or waxy element. — 9 years ago
One of my favorites....well-rounded, smooth and just beautiful. Add a shot of Chambord for a decadent treat! — 11 years ago
No idea where we got this. Typically not bubbly drinkers so we added some chambord. Delish. — 12 years ago

Sour cherry and chambord, with a twiggy backbone. Very Austrian, very blaufrankishy! — 5 years ago
