Pretty red color with medium intensity.
Fresh red berries on the nose with light milk chocolates.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, red currants, light earth, light wood, spices, coffee, herbs and dark chocolates.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This delicious 3 year old Grenache blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is starting to drink beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.
Still young, and from the great 2022 vintage. Showing good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
Rich and fruit forward. Complex with a soft mouthfeel. Soft, pure and elegant.
The high alcohol is very well integrated. Spicy and entertaining. Well structured and precise.
Good by itself as a sipping wine.
Grapes are grown on aged vines of more than 100 years old. A blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Cinsault and 20% Syrah. Aged in mostly concrete vats for 2 years. Syrah is aged in new French oak barrels.
16% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Take us to Corsica!!
We’re prepping for an upcoming class with this beauty, which comes from the southern tip of Corsica (the most southerly wine region of France 🇫🇷 ); an appellation called Corse Figari AOC.
The vineyards are farmed biodynamically (certified since 2006) and are situated on a plateau at the base of the Omu di Cagna mountain ⛰️, not far from dramatic Bonifacio cliffs rising up from the azure blue waters of the Mediterranean.
It’s made with Vermentinu (aka Rolle or Vermentino) by Clos Canarelli, devoted to producing high quality terroir-driven wines made with indigenous varieties.
This wine offers a bouquet of lemon and orange peel, white peach, crisp green apple, just-ripe pineapple, honeydew, citrus blossom, elderflower, crushed stone, arugula, and custard.
It is both vibrant and rich with a creamy mouthfeel and layered complexity. It’s absolutely delicious and we cannot wait to share it next month. — 3 years ago

Still so primary! Tons of red fruit. Not closed at all — 7 months ago
Medium ruby hue. Aromatic bouquet of red fruits with a matching palate. Plush and elegant. Well worth cellaring. A solid example of Grenache-dominant Chateauneuf-du-Pape. 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. — 8 months ago
For the price, I expected a lot more. So did the rest on the table. Probably too young as it did improve with air, but I’ve had youthful (and cheaper) Champagne’s that performed far better than this. Started off with heaps of pears, bruised apples, and almonds on the nose. The palate was concentrated, juicy and almost too fruity for me (apples and apricot for days!). Air brought about more cut and chalkiness, as well as some floral notes. In short, I expected more depth. I suspect I’m just not a fan of the vintage. Time will tell. — 2 years ago

Nose of plums, forest floor with fresh fallen flower petals. Taste is of plums, black tea, Forest, raspberry, mushroom. I really like this. Opened up after an hour of pulling cork and really excellent after 2+. — 7 years ago
This was really funky on opening and then blew some of that off to have a brawny wine with good fruit and tannin. Some earth and herbs. Dark fruits. Really liked it. — 7 months ago
Light garnet color. Very interesting nose and palate of red fruits, rose petals, dried herbs, black tea, bergamot and sweet baking spices. Hint of eucalyptus on the long, complex and earthy finish. Smooth tannins. Lively, bright and very well balanced. Nice concentration for a light bodied wine. Excellent! — 2 years ago

Provence; Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France

Wow, this continues to be one of my favorite Provence rosés, ripe strawberry, cold peach, watermelon rind, damp limestone, white pepper; with +3Y of age we're at peak enjoyment.
On the Lawn at Tanglewood this afternoon with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading Julia ADOLPHE (Makeshift Castle), STRAUSS songs with orchestra (Muttertändelei, Opus 43, No. 2 / Wiegenlied, Opus 41, No. 1 / Waldseligkeit, Opus 49. No. 1 / Ruhe, meine Seele, Opus 27, No. 1 / Zueignung, Opus 10, No. 1 / Morgen, Opus 27, No. 4) all voiced by our favorite soprano Renée Fleming, and closing with STRAVINSKY (Petrushka, 1947 version).

Sexy fucking wine. Sexy is overused but I’d get in a hastily planned 3 month relationship with this wine that would end in bitter heartbreak. Gorgeous nose. Flowers, big cherries, lipstick vibe. Palate is ripe and opulent with lovely sucrosity and wonderful freshness. Silky tannins and great mouthfeel. Very 15 but also very alluring. Long finish. Wonderful mineral drive and very complex. Great today. — 7 years ago
Delicious, especially with sirloin steak and Billy!
