Wonderful little bit of tannins. Very centered small fruit flavor. I guess more Rhône in style gamay than Beaujolais. Little richer, not as light. — 7 years ago
I adore SB raised in barrels, and this beauty ain’t no exception to the rule. From 2020 and onwards, this youngster promises to offer even greater complexity, as it’s still fruit centered. Expansive mid-palate and promising drive on the finish. Once it sheds some of its lactic elements, my score will be proven conservative. — 8 years ago
After a little bit of a hiatus with my wife suffering from GI issues, I have been a little bit off my delectable game. This wine sort of re-centered me and brought me back into the game! First one in a while that I have wanted to post! What an incredibly rich and robust Cabernet. Oakville fruit, and you can taste the oak, blackberry, cinnamon, still extremely tannic. I cannot imagine rating a 2013 or 14 version of this wine, because I just don't think it's possible at this point. This one still needs an hour or two to open up, but is a 94 even after immediately pouring — 8 years ago
red fruit and spice. Perfectly balanced ranging from sweet to peppery. Amazing range centered square in the middle — 9 years ago
Berry and tobacco on the nose. Very soft on the front of the tongue, explodes into a berry centered experience. Tremendous texture and tannins for a 2017. This is a value. — 6 years ago
Straight up never met a Ridge wine I did not like.
2016 seems to be a hotter year than most with a pronounced ripe fruit nose.. Ripened blackberry.
A centered body, with Eucalyptus, sage, ripe bramble fruit, whiff of leather and a touch of cedar box. Such a great wine when you want something delicious and are indecisive.
Ridge has never failed. Ever. — 7 years ago

Peach, orange peal, butter at first, opens to more fruit centered and loses the oakyness — 8 years ago
Really pretty and fruit centered Valtellina. As is generally true for the DOC, this is softer and a bit more floral than its nebbiolo cousins to the south. Accessible now, great with a wide variety of food, and plenty of development to come. Nice value. — 9 years ago
This was a sneaky ghosted wedding gift. Pretty nose with ripe cherries, candied plums, pork loin, earl gray tea, potpourri, dark chocolate shavings, graphite, and ash. Mid-palate is juicy, fleshy and bright. The finish shows creamy red fruits centered in minerality and earth. You can grab this at $19.99, which is a steal for a quality Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir. Cheers! — 6 years ago

So good!! Really! Perfectly balanced. A great cab centered so well. Wow! — 7 years ago
The Nod refers to the original Italian immigrant wines of Zin-centered field blends. Bedrock and Carlisle have significantly raised awareness of these heritage vineyards and wines over the past decade. And their products are significantly better as well. This is very pretty but just lacks some punch. Maybe Spring Mtn is not good terroir for Zin. — 7 years ago
Strawberry, tangerine. Nice minerality on the finish. A fuller bodied example with fine-tuned acid. Fruit-centered. — 8 years ago
Deep ruby/purple in the glass. Powerful aromas of dark chocolate, violet and cassis are layered with black currant and plums. The medium plus acidity drives the lush ripe fruit in the midpallet, centered around wildflowers, baking spice and dark berries. The finish is long with polished tannins and a touch of tobacco. — 8 years ago
My first Pisoni. The most remarkable aspects of this wine are its aromas of raspberries and roses. The wine is juicy and complex, centered with strawberries and raspberries and surrounded by tobacco and pepper. In a word, this pinot noir is flamboyant. — 8 years ago
Terrior Tasting Bright ripe nose with black cherry, red raspberry and red current fruit that is accented with lovely floral, mineral and spice tones. The wine has a generous mouthfeel with silky tannins and abundant, juicy sweet red fruit character. The finish is focused but fruit centered. This appears to have slot of upside but drinks so well that it is hard to resist. — 9 years ago

Gorgeous aroma of peach blossoms and green apricots, light bodied delicious & crisp. Really enjoyed this with my seafood- centered meal. 🦪 — 6 years ago
