Tasted in a lineup of mid-tier Napa cabs and this one stood out--intense berry and brambly fruit, a little musky masculinity, tobacco, wet earth, and ripe chocolatey tannin. Great acidity! Killer value.

Nice cab for the price. Need to let it open up. Blackberry, cedar and tobacco flavors.

2012 vintage. New favorite wine I've had in 2015, this cabernet sauvignon lends itself more as a blend than as a straight cab, as the nose on it expresses bramble fruit with sweet earth and a hint of oak. For such a young wine the tannins on this are pleasing and soft, leading me to wonder just how in the hell it's been three years since 2012 already. The finish is lingering without over staying it's welcome. This makes me more interested in Mount Veeder wines and vintages.

For the price this is a great bottle. Wonderful structure and finish and a wonderful nose full of cassis.

Tobacco, leather and violets on the nose. A gentle approach on the palate with more leather and raspberries ending in a long tannic finish. Good wine.

Fell flat for some reason. Much juicer and voluptuous the last several times I've had it.

Brambly black fruit with some pipe tobacco and cocoa, moderate tannins and elevated acidity. Knits together well with a decant. A compelling cab under $30.

Really well built. Solid and refined. Rich black fruit. Damp earth/freshly laid asphalt. Hint of dark choc on the polished finish. Time to get some more
