2019 vintage. Olivier Tropet's vineyards are mainly in the Roaix appellation, but he also produces a Rasteau. I don't know why this wine isn't labelled Roaix, maybe there is some Rasteau in here? Or maybe he doesn't want to use the Roaix appellation for his entry level Villages? This is a blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 20% Carignan blend from organically (and biodynamically, certified since 2022) farmed grapes. — 12 days ago

Exactly what I wanted, top shelf, beautiful apple floral, fruit, bark… a lot was captured in the distilling.

Nose,: Large, bright, clean, fresh apple, sweet cider, apple tree bark, rocks, soil.

Palette: Palette cleansing alcohol, followed with notes of fresh cider Apples, apple wood and oak, back palette predominate.

Medium finish

Used for in onions with light crushed anise seed for Moroccan spiced brisket, Apple & Honey Sangria, apples & date stuffed challah, as well as enjoyed on its own.

程よい果実の厚みすりおろしりんご。金木犀やカモミール？の香りに、程よい塩味。
シンプルな野菜サラダよりアクアパッツァにピッタリ。アクアパッツァオジヤは合っているかは微妙だが、しっかりこなしてくれる。コッテリ目の唐揚げにはあんまりで、マヨネーズをつけて食べたら、ピッタリに。
でも、卵サラダにはあんまり。

Been wanting to try this wine for a while. Seemed appropriate to do so when we are in Italy. 2018 is fairly young and it opened up immediately with strong fruit aromas of red currants and other fresh berries. Quickly became smooth and silky.
