Albert Barossa Valley Shiraz 2015

Deep ruby with purple hue in glass and rich berry fruits on nose, well integrated tannins and with 14.5% ABV was remarkably balanced with good acidity.
Smooth on the palate with long lingering aftertaste.

Baron Louis Cru Des Côtes du Rhône Lirac Red Rhone Blend 2010

Really lovely Lirac, Grenache and Syrah show mostly, the proprietor (Rodolphe des Pins) (in my opinion!!) dragged his feet too long in joining the Lirac appellation, but his wines have LONG been undervalued and are fantastic at their pricepoint, I personally have more bottles of this, which I expect to age well!! — 6 months ago

Pinot Blanc

Had to try this because the couple next to me at the French restaurant were drinking it and it was new. Not sure what a Pinot blanc is. Fizz. Tart citrus. Thick. Soft melon finish. Hint vanilla at the end I enjoyed. — 10 months ago

These both opened up in stages, drank them side by side and at first the opus was better. Then mouton opened up and was a big presence in the room — 7 months ago

Edelzwicker Alsace White Blend

Enjoyed the 2020 a bit more. Solid wine but sweeter (just a touch so) than expected. Needs a bit more zip. The 2020 being a bit better makes me wonder if I should have kept the 2022 a little longer before opening — 4 months ago

Cent-Vignes Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2010

We had the 2010 Vintage on 6/15-16/25. A real nice Burgundy from Beaune. Strawberry, raspberry, clove, leather and and earthiness on the bouquet and palate. Light to medium bodied. Tannins all softened. Old World — 6 months ago

Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo 2018

A big Rioja. Surprisingly ready to drink, tanins have softened, still powerful. Dark garnet color, aromatic nose of earth and herbs. Round Palate balanced and tasty. Recommended. Great VfM. — 8 months ago

Excellent! It took very little time to breathe which was unexpected for a 2011. We will be buying more of this if we can find it. — 2 years ago

Les Vaucopins Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Darker yellow than typical Chablis; good nose of wet grass and lighter fruit with some oak. Very smooth but much more of a Chardonnay taste than Chablis; a touch buttery, apple & pear flavor- a full bodied white. — 4 years ago
