Perhaps this wine would be better described as a field blend rather than Delectable’s take as being a Zinfandel blend. But, hey...you have to start somewhere; particularly with 8+ varietals in the mix. Paired it up with Armenian chicken Shish Kebab and the usual suspects. Pretty damn perfect. (The wine really shows itself after 30/45 minutes in decanter.) — 5 years ago

2019 Armenian! Dry, not sweet and medium bodied. Very nice white wine. — 4 years ago
2018 vintage. Historical producer tracing back to the beginning of the 19th century. 100% Areni Noir from the Vayots Dzor region from 40 years old vines at 1300 - 1400 m. Calcareous and volcanic soils. Aged 6 months in used Armenian oak barrels. A very good introduction to the wonderful Areni Noir grape. Brilliant transparent ruby. Attractive nose with pomegranate, red cherries, flowers and a hint of vanilla. Elegant taste with bright red fruit, fresh acidity and a nice ripe tannic bite. Amazing value at about 13 euro. Abv. 14%, but hardly noticed. — 5 years ago

50% Kangun (native Armenian varietal), 40% Chardonnay and 10% Viognier. Dark gold color with some green hints. Aromas and flavors of citrus, pears, peaches and pineapple. Hint of white flowers on the spicy finish. Medium to full bodied white reminiscent of a Rhône White Blend. (Due to the Viognier?). Interesting. — 4 years ago
