Nice watermelon taste go along well with seafood. — 2 months ago
Nose - forest floor, wood, tobacco, moss. Main flavors - stewed plum and light baking spices. A bit of tannic structure but overall smooth and earthy. Like no Pinot noir I’ve ever had. Tremendous! Read the James Suckling review and he has it right it’s moody. But I think moody in the best possible way. — 2 months ago
bit shy, needed some time in the decanter - translucent ruby colored, lots of violets and spice, sour cherry and bing cherry, rhubarb, tar, sweet soil, really complex on nose, med weight w/firm tannic grip, flavors from nose on mid palate, nice finish. paired with smoked ribs and it really worked - Father's day treat. i have another of these, believe this is in the pocket right now. *more Barbaresco than Brunello — 4 months ago
Located in the heart of Umbria, pale lemon color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and honey floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and peach with citrus and nutty notes. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with salty mineral character. Nice! — 5 months ago
Excellent Chianti, full bodied, well balanced. Soft tannins, pleasant bouqet. — 9 months ago

Aged in new French oak. Pure Syrah. Inky ruby coloration. On the nose, dark cherry, cassis, minerals, earth, leather, vanilla. On the palate, full bodied, rich mouthfeel, dark berry, cassis, spice and loads of chocolate. Long chocolaty finish. Tannins have mellowed significantly. $60 at total wine. — a month ago

Dayum, Italian white wines nearly always over-deliver for the price. Touch of white flowers, orchard fruit, lovely balance, paired handsomely with precisely-fried calamari. #antinoriwines have been ever reliable for me. — 5 months ago

Has Vermentino fallen out of favour with Italians and is being replaced by a taste for Chardonnay?
Maybe but I don't want to believe it yet.
On hot summer days there is not much more refreshing than a well chilled glass of Vermentino. Chilled is a must - it still has enough oomph in the nose to release its floral essence. Once it comes up to room temp it can be overwhelmingly perfumey IMHO. Good acid balance.
I'm pretty convinced that you can trust anything from Fontori to be a solid choice. — 2 months ago
This is nice. Don't know what I paid for it. Strong dark fruit presence with gripping tannins and a little minerality. I'm drinking it without food, and it would be much better with a bit of grilled something. But it's nice, I'll say it again.
