Great wine. Smooth and easy to drink. — 4 months ago
Wow that nose! There is chalk and lemon peel, to that point that I could be thrown off-pace to Chablis here. There are some pear notes too that linger in the back. The palate is a joy... There is a massive acid backbone that makes it a very long wine. There is width and matter, giving it presence. There are lemon peel and pear notes all along, along with a chalky, dusty mouthfeel on the sides. The finish is long, extended, with pear notes and that slight lemon peel thing which goes away somehow in the end. That's clearly a very serious vinho Verde here! I'm a big fan — 5 months ago
Really wonderful and very well-balanced. Not much of a nose to the wine. I get some green apples, a bit of citrus and a bit of pepper. Nice dry wine that is very drinkable. — a month ago
2021 vintage. The brand name refers to the first 100% Alvarinho vineyard planted by Soalheiro in 1974. Today, it is still made from over 30 years old vines, fermented mainly in stainless steel, with 15% in used oak barrels. White peach and pineapple, intertwined with a distinctive minerality. Crisp and juicy with an exemplary purity of fruit, brilliant acidity and a very long mineral finish. Abv. 12,5%. Terrific value too. Highly recommended. — 2 months ago
Once again this is vinho Verde at its very best. Pear, cantaloupe, chalk. There's that mineral thing on the nose that tells you it's going to be great 😊 the palate is very well made with a great acid backbone, a good width and mouthfeel, some pear and slightly lemony notes, before a long and fresh finish that goes on for a while. Why is everyone overlooking Vinho Verde? — 4 months ago

Phewww what a value! Pear, apricot, chalk, what an aromatic nose! The palate shows a bit of acid drive but it's more textured and structured than acid driven. Nice apricot and pear notes, some tangy notes all along, a power ball of a mid palate kicking a long and wide finish with a clalky mouthfeel and almost a tannic (🤔), drying layer. The wine's tanginess is strong in the rear, and lasts for a long while. This is funny because the wine's acid drive is not that strong. Second attempt with a white from this winery, second hit. Can't wait to taste more. — a month ago
