Damn. I am all about this wine tonight. Cherry and raspberry notes on both the nose and palate. Beautiful pinot coloring in the glass and a glorious finish. I will definitely be seeking this one out again. Highly recommended! 75% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 5% Pinot Gris. 5/1/22. — 3 years ago
Bianco Antico sees a ridiculous 180 days on the skins of Malvasia di Candia Aromatica (different from plain Malvasia). It’s a grippy fully hopped juicy East Coast IPA. Copper tone. Bitter citrus and green tea and grapefruit.
Must love orange wine. Must love bitter dry. — 5 years ago
Great company. Great meal. Great wine! — 6 years ago
This ‘94 was rich and enticing - plenty of freshness and pyrazine, vanilla (light), bitter dark chocolate, and young tannins / black fruit and a finish for days — 7 years ago
Incredibly youthful. Lots of dark brambly fruit, plum, some leather. Fully resolved, moderately long finish, great balance. 25 years young! — 7 years ago
Consumed over 3 days. Nose of strawberry. Dark garnet in color. By day three the initial tight, dense palate has added sour cherry, plum currents and a deep array of leather, tobacco, loam, coffee endingwith thyme and violets. This earthy wine needs 3-5 more years or a long decant. Typical Sangiovese/CCR at a very high level. — 2 years ago
This wine has evolved wonderfully over the last 10 years...
Dark macerated fruit notes, tossed wet earth, bloody/gamey meat, charred oak and balsamico. At age 20, all components have melted into this beautiful beasty boy and those chewy but well dosed tannines provide a great harmonious structure.
Well done! 👍🏻
Went super next to a plate of meatballs and ravioli. — 6 years ago
Ah, the Rocks at Milton-Freewater produce such remarkable and distinctive fruit. Morgan Lee’s take on the Stoney Vine Syrah is outstanding. Earthy, gamey, succulent, dark and full stone fruit (plum) that just keeps going. This is good for another 5 years I think. — 7 years ago
Sunshine and tropical fruit just lovely — 3 years ago
How does she do it? That shimmering Alsatian minerality balanced out with this almost metallic salinity, nutty sherry oxidation, and a squeeze of lime. — 4 years ago
Tastes good but $25. You can find better wine for less — 5 years ago
Great champagne blend with sharp bubbles and toasted caramel notes. Some green apple. Excellent especially at $25. — 6 years ago
A Great night to say the least:
Magnum of Gargiulo money ranch road,
2000 Bryant, 25 year Macalllan. Totally forgot to post this pick from a few weeks back!
The Bryant drank as good as any French Bordeaux that I’ve ever had. The money ranch toad was mediocre in comparison and the 25 year Macallan was 2nd only to the amazing company we had in our house that night!!
Great times to say the least!
