Every wine from Martin Woods is a treat. Grassy, lemony nose, almond candy in the background, mineral, white/yellow flowers, stone fruits.
Very interesting cooperage, both French and Oregonian oak. But, no buttah.
A crisp mouthful indeed, delicate.
As it warms it fills out. Never heavy.

Solid vintage year for the reserve cab. It’s one of the better balanced mid-Atlantic cabs you can find. It has the density and complexity of a top tier cab you’d expect from.more acclaimed Napa vineyards - but without the the ‘in your face’ tannins. Nice job Penn’s Woods! — 3 years ago

So open. This wine wants to be drunk. It’s very high on the pleasurability scale. Sweet mint, herbals, cassis, berries on the nose. Amarena cherry. Great acidity and freshness. Long finish. More notes later. Nose is killer now. Big herbals and dripping with kirsch fruit. Sweet clay. Sweet soil tones. Impressive. Palate is so juicy and clean. — 8 months ago

This 2017 is back on track with goodness! Great aroma, juicy fruity well balanced full palate experience. Long finish. Just as good 3 days later as on opening. — 5 years ago
Takes its name from the free-spirited gentleman named Bruscone who lived in the woods of the Barbi Estate. Enticing Ruby with sweet red berry aromas and earthy notes. On the palate cherry, licorice and sweet plum showing nicely. Fine tannins, well balanced on lingering finish ending with earthy herb tones. Needs decanting or cellar aging. Very nice! — 6 years ago

On nose its lots of Blackberries, oak, pine woods, leathery
On palate its so delicious, long finish, soft tannins, medium acidity, its firm and silky smooth.
Lots if fruits, with touch of vanilla, creamy. Incredible complexity. I think this wine is on its peak or another 3 years to develop. Cheers everyone! — 8 months ago
Another solid year. Classic crisp Chambourcin with fruit nose, slight tang of rhubarb on the palate, mouthwatering acidity, and moderate tannins. — 4 years ago

Huge spice on the nose. Cinnamon and allspice. Very Volnay 1er cru. Palate is high acid and so juicy but with semi decadent sweet, mid season cherry, stunning freshness. But closed and coiled initially. Now the nose js getting that 4d aspect. High acid, grainy texture, tannins are refined, they come across as lacey, and there is a restrained intensity, So insane. But needs 3-4 hours to get there. I will be back. Finish is epic. After 7 hours this is so epic. Nose is allspice, deep cranberry. Palate is so red fruited and spicey. Very long and unreal tannins but it’s still holding back. — 8 months ago
