Zesty but has a brioche undertone. Green apple, lively bubble — 2 years ago
Pings your nostrils with sequence of subtle vibrations at hummingbird frequency. Lime, orange blossom, burnt match. Then a slow slip into my absolute favorite honeyed dimension. I love when honey shows up - it's one of my favorite notes in wine. Here it changes the direction from steely stern face to a textured viscous warm smirk. — 4 years ago
A stunning bottle of Mosel Pinot. Deep, penetrating nose of dark cherry, slate, moss, mid season cherry, black cherry and some blackberry flower. Tree bark and such complexity. Has more to tell that is for sure. Wild mint starts to develop. Palate is deep and structured with amazing sap and density and Grand Cru grip and structure. Pure, balanced and lovely black and red cherries with velvety tannins that are perfectly ripe. So pure and so deep. Incredible length and sap. Finish is a mineral wash and accented with blackberries and darker red cherries. This is young but very promising. So long and such well defined fruit. — 3 years ago
Amazing, full bodied and tons of leg! Rich dark color, nice earthy taste. Dry with a perfect amount of tannins — 4 years ago
I’ve only experienced quality Spatburgunder with Enderle & Moll, so tasting this Savio Soares import ( in proper Pinot stemware) felt like another revelation. Peppery & fresh, but enough mid weight to accompany a burger & a green gazpacho, & enough layers & acidity to keep it interesting. Gorgeous. — 3 years ago
Volnay, Marsannay style floral (roses and hints of Geranium) better nose than palate. Hints of raw meat, high acidity but balanced with the ripe fruit. Long finish. One of the best #pinotnoir I’ve had from #Germany #vdp #vdpgrosselage #gg — 5 years ago

Apricot, pineapple, minimal botrytis. Thick, sweet, full, and powerful. Honey, peach in juice, low acidity. Typical for the year: warm and sunny, but without syrupiness or sticky residual sweetness. Yum. — 3 months ago
