Wow. Doesn’t have that annoying mulleryness I don’t like.
Nose is elegant. Peach pit. Terrific.
Palate is juicy. Mineral. Moderate but lovely fruit. Really good.
5 days in still good. Elegant fruit. Mineral. Juicy. So balanced. Wow. What an incredibly well made bottle of wine.

Tonight I have opened the 2016 Viña Errázuriz Max Reserva Carmenère. Made up of 85% Carmenère, 11% Syrah and 4% Petit Verdot.
On the nose is raspberry, cherry, green bell pepper, chocolate, spice, herbaceous notes, vanilla and earth.
On the palate are notes of raspberry, cherry, plum, green bell pepper, chocolate, herbs, spice, vanilla and earth.
The wine is medium to full bodied with medium to + acidity and medium to + sandy tannins that leads to a medium to long drying fruit finish. A very enjoyable, drink now or store for enjoying later wine. Have a great rest of your weekend and may your week ahead be a good one. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 7 years ago
Vintage 2017 / Man, I am so proud this wine is Dutch. I retasted Apostelhoeve next to Bordeaux blanc and Alsace. And it still stands. Light-footed but with a great backbone. Blend of several grapes. #apostelhoeve — 8 years ago
Ok, so now we're experiencing a second, top-tier bottle, from a "Gang of Four" producer...yet to have the Lapierre or Thévenet bottles.
Gamay how I love you so much. Beautiful dried flower and cherry nose, lightly sweet and the finish has wicked length. This was amazing, shared with good friends and a good meal of patiently roasted beef tenderloin. I can't wait to see how this develops in a few years, it needs some time to gain concentration. It will go into hiding in the cellar with the 3.14 bottles and hope they learn something from each other.

There are a few wines in the world that you can really never go wrong with. And by that I mean there are a few wine producers in the world whose every product is simply fantastic. For me, one of those is Müller-Catoir from Germany’s Pfalz region. Founded in 1744 this regal family estate makes fantastic wines across a wide range of prices from their roughly 60 acres of estate vineyards. This is a perfect examples, with its electric acidity and minerality encased in Asian pear, mandarin orange oil, and honeysuckle brightness. With just a whisper of sweetness it goes down so easy you blink and half the bottle is gone. Ding! — 5 years ago
Very good with a veggie-heavy meal. Lots of fruit; I personally prefer slightly less honey and more earthiness than I got, but make no mistakes — this wine was delicious — 8 years ago

Ofcourse way too young, needs probably another 5 years in the cellar but I absolutely enjoy this youthfulness aswell with already great balance of sweetness and acidity with loads of fresh stone fruit and citrus flavours and a lot of floral notes. Already shows nice complexity and the finish is loooooong — 9 years ago

My annual bottle of the freak fest. Fermentive nose of lemon slushy, huge minerals and seltzer. Tweed as well. As I said a freak fest. Palate is bitter like an ESB but pure and clean. Lemons, underripe oranges and barely apricot. Love it. Huge minerals and insane freshness. Such a unique wine. — 6 years ago

Sunday night and I have opened the 2016 Viña Errazuriz Max Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
On the nose is black cherry, blackberry, red & black currants, green peppercorn, black tea, spice and dusty earth.
The palate reveals notes of tart black cherry, blackberry, red & black currants, green bell pepper, a good dose of minerality and earth.
This is a round juicy full bodied wine with medium + electric acidity and medium sandy tannins that leads into a long fruit filled earthy finish. I hope everyone had a safe enjoyable weekend? Have a great week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 7 years ago
Bracing acidity. Sweet but not. Nothing else quite like it. All I have to say. — 8 years ago
I like the stems in this but don't know if others would. It's got Sass indeed. Kermit tasting. — 9 years ago
