Very nicely balanced combination of acidity and fruit. — 6 years ago
Pure!! Thank you @Carl Fischer this was outstanding and the perfect fit for the venue and company — 7 years ago
Gifted by @Carl Fischer in absentia. Golden straw hues, baked apple. A weighty feel but not cloying and I didn't get any over eager oak here at all. — 8 years ago
Enjoyed on January 6, 2017. This bottle seemed a bit weaker than previous bottles I've had. — 8 years ago
Still a baby with a fresh nose of herby grapefruit, shy lime and cool wet mountain stream pebbles.
Brilliant concentration on the palate with this electric tension, racy acidity and a tight core of salty, slate minerality. Around this are layers of lime, white peach, ripe lemons. Ripe yet with great poise, focus and depth.
They really nailed it in 2020! — 4 years ago
Very zesty, fruity, tart, and full-bodied. Really beautiful, smooth mouthfeel. Killer with Chinese food. — 6 years ago
Trying to make up for not making it to the kafer tent this year. Drinking with wiesnhendl tonight. @Christian W. Liedtke — 7 years ago

06’ @Carl Fischer Just another fantastic bottle. Breaking out this 2006... special one. Thanks for sharing. — 8 years ago
Very sweet, but I like both sweet and dry Rieslings. Paid about $12 and would do it again. — 8 years ago
@David L @Carl Fischer @Ron R @Joe Lucca @Kirk Alexander Christine & I had dinner with my buddy Kirk and his beatific wife Veronica. I uncorked this one since it had been such a reliable pour the last time I opened it. However, in New York it had disappointed all of us. I am back to being disappointed. This is the type of bottle that you have to open by itself and not showcase it against any other as it will swiftly retreat into the shadows. Light on the palate, super short finish. This bottle came in dead last tonight. I can't believe the other that I opened impressed me that much that night. I don't do this often but I will knock it down to an 8.9. — 8 years ago
Sweet, but not overly. — 5 years ago
A little funk at the end, but in a good way. Sweet, but not over. — 6 years ago

@Carl Fischer Christine knew that we would all get along as soon as you walked in with this beauty in New York earlier this year!!! It's one of her favorites!!! Truly A phenomenal example of a great Napa cab. This is firing on all cylinders. I still have a dozen left in my cellar and can't wait to see the evolution that they will take in the next 15 years. Winner, winner chicken dinner! Great minds think a like Carl! LOL we must've had 60 bottles of wine that night and I still remember Christine saying "I really like that wine" when you walked in the door with that bottle! LOL The entire WNH @Joe Lucca @Mike Rowe @David L @Ron R would've had an incredible time this evening. We can't wait to see you within the near future! — 8 years ago

Pings your nostrils with sequence of subtle vibrations at hummingbird frequency. Lime, orange blossom, burnt match. Then a slow slip into my absolute favorite honeyed dimension. I love when honey shows up - it's one of my favorite notes in wine. Here it changes the direction from steely stern face to a textured viscous warm smirk. — 3 years ago
