I had bought this wine for my wife who likes robust wines - what a pleasant surprise in addition to its body. It had complex bursting flavors. Consistently flavourful from the first taste on my lips to the Gargle and aftertaste. I matched it with sirloin steak from an elk and some mushrooms with garlic, and the universe was as it should be. — 2 months ago

Really tight, at first... searing acidity. Mellowed after a while. #lastglassbest — 5 years ago
If you want some luxurious fruit to match your steak, once and a while, a fun break from quaffable! — 9 years ago
Nose: cherry, blackberry. Something savory like butter/greasy chips, cake batter, pepper.
Color: slightly dense for Pinot noir, med/ light body, brown rim.
Palate: dark berries, good acid, nice alcohol ending, leather, subtle spice but still has fruit.
Paired amazingly with Spicy Indian food. Tandoori Cauliflower.

Too often this, wine is drunk at release. Just a little patience goes a long way. At 7 years the primary black and red fruit is still there with dried plums showing up along with cedar cocoa tar anise. Tannins still there so can go along a bit longer bit why wait — 2 months ago
We had the 2013 vintage on 1/11/24. Tastes of blackberry l, plum, eucalyptus and camphor. Full bodied and fruit forward. A very good Washington Merlot. — 4 months ago
Needs a bit of air upon opening to blow off the reductive edge.
Shows juicy, ripe, creamy blueberry with a bit of toasted and a fresh, mineral streak.
The magic happens on the palate - brilliant energy & depth. Great, pure, juicy, fresh blueberries with rocky minerality. Sappy, velvety tannins, vibrant acidity, so fresh.
This is brilliant stuff - complex, elegant, quite serious. And so drinkable. . — 5 months ago

One of the best big Cabs. Certainly of Washington State it’s the best Cab in that state. Very smooth, deep rich purple hints of berries. 2016 vintage. Absolutely excellent. — 2 months ago
in line with the other reviews. An exceptional wine maker, doing everything from planting to pruning to winemaking. Very small production. Opened the bottle about an hour before consuming every last drop. Quite delicious. An exceptional example of Oregon Pinot Noir. — 2 months ago
Light, almost floral aroma. Much less dry, but rather on the sweeter side. Tasteful notes of sweet lemon and apple. — 2 months ago
Great way to finish a two-week business trip in New York. Paired well with duck confit. — 3 months ago
Hands down favorite. Well balanced, beautiful sipper. Nothing too soft, or aggressive. Doesn’t need to punch you in the face to score a 10 — 4 months ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Medium Ruby with aromas red fruits, black tea and ample floral spice, aged in 20% new French oak for about 10 months. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with notes of tobacco, cedar, black pepper, tea and vanilla spice. Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with fruit, herb, spice and wet stone character. Very Nice! Aging well! — 2 months ago
