The wine is magnificent. Smells like a peach orchard. The fruit, the trees The flowers all of it. Also get pleasant but subtle notes of vanilla, citrus, ocean, and cardamom. Flavor is fresh, slightly under ripe peach (basically no sweetness), lemongrass and vanilla. Medium body but so well balanced by a refreshing acidity that matches seafood so well. I could smell this wine all day and never grow tired of it. — 4 months ago

Color a is murky red brown. Nose—a sweet red cherry plum and forest floor barn yard funk with green veggie. A slight menthol lingering. Taste— Sweet strawberry tea flavors hit the pallet. A slight smoky and tobacco medium finish with touches of currant, tea and spices hanging around making the wine soft and pleasant and wanting more. Tannins have sweeten but definitely still there! — 5 years ago

Popped and poured. The 2014 Pegaü “Cuvée Réservé” appears a deep ruby in the glass with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity. The nose is funky cherry, bruised strawberry, barn yard, stone fruit, brambles, garrigue, spiced meat, and damp forest floor. There is a touch of VA but it’s on the charming side. On the palate the wine is dry, with significant structure still. In fact, I feel as though the structure is showing more than I recall from earlier experiences. The fruit is generous but more red fruited than usual. Fresh and juicy with a long finish. Awesome. Still another 10 years in this, easy. On the lighter side for Pegaü, thanks the 2014 vintage, but still a stunner. — 3 years ago

After 30 minutes Bordeaux barn aromas went away. Dark cherries, loam, cigar notes. I know! Palate soft tannins, smooth, low acidity. Dark cherries and dark chocolate. 21 years but more to go. Have 5 more bottles to see how that goes. Ok — 5 years ago
