This is a delicious Petit Verdot from Napa Valley.
Tasty right out of the bottle and better after 2 hours in the decanter.
Showing black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, chocolates, tobacco leaf, spices, tar, peppercorn, dark coffee, earth and licorice.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate.
Loved the nose here.
14.7% alcohol by volume.

Opened and got about a 20-30 min decant. The nose on this was amazing and it literally filled the room upon pouring. The flavors were accessible from the start and delightful. Less dense/heavy than the Abreu but not a lightweight by any means. Again dark fruits and a finish that lasted. Was the WOTN by many being easy going but delightful. The Abreu made you think (and was my WOTN), this just made you happy. — 3 months ago
Luscious. Full-bodied with lots of pear, mango, pineapple, and vanilla. Silky smooth with a fabulous finish. — 5 months ago
This is a typically rich and voluptuous example from Tor. It’s flashy on the mid palate displaying roasted pineapples and a hint of lychee. This is a multidimensional example with delicate wood treatment and soft acidity. The finish extends and expands with a sexy sweet conclusion. Take a look if you can find it. — 8 months ago
For a red lover, and not a fan of Chards, this wine knocked me off my feet! I absolutely Loved it! If I could describe my perfect request for a white wine, it would be this one. Butterscotch, almond, a slight fruity hint of lemon zest but not sharp or tart, buttery and bright yet incredibly smooth and a nice heavy feel. This is my favorite white wine ever! (And ranks above some of my fave reds). — 4 years ago
Classic Gruner from top producer. Radish, white pepper, tart apricot, great acidity. Great value too. — 4 months ago
Excellent. I am slightly partial to Tor’s Torchiana, but this great. Meyer lemon, brioche, guava, apricot, vanilla, and almonds. — 5 months ago
A good wine but I was expecting more. Hopefully the next bottle will be more to my expectation. — 6 months ago

This 2001 Tor West Block is being poured by Tor himself at “From the Cellar” event at Pebble Beach Food & Wine was my favorite red from this particular event.
Tor is humble and a great Napa Ambassador. If you like Napa history, his book is a good read.
From the Cellar might be their best event dollar for dollar. All older wines being poured from larger formats.
Paired well with the Short Ribs. My second favorite dish of the event. — 2 months ago
