My continuing quest to taste as many 22 Burgundies as possible…
Nose is not all that expressive. Lemon, lime, green apple, tropical melons, honey notes, cream, sea spray, pleasant chalkiness, limestone, volcanics, spring flowers framed in yellow lilies.
Palate is; round, high viscosity, paraffin, lemon syrup, lime, nice green apple with skin, tropical melons, hints of kiwi, honey notes, cream, sea spray, nicely toned white spices/ some palate heat, pleasant chalkiness, limestone, volcanics, hints of mushroom, light caramel notes, soft wood tones, white spring flowers framed in yellow lilies, very good acidity and a nicely balanced, well tensioned, polished elegant finish that lasts a full minute and lands on gentle spice & earthiness.

Getting ahead with some research off to Saumur/Loire Vallée, this little Saumur Champigny punches above it's weight, up there with mid level burgundy, climate change has done well for Cab Francs, Pinot Noir from Loire Vallée. Well structured, light but with a bit of depth, berries galore, bio organic too! — 5 months ago
We had this earlier in the week to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Barb isn’t a huge fan of bubbles so this was the right choice - a Premier Cru from Meursault from a good white burgundy vintage. See previous Delectable notes. River gravel and grapefruit with a small hint of oak - largely integrated. A touch of smoke - even a little oyster shell. Quite delicate and refined on the light to medium weight palate. Lemon and citric acid. In summary Citrus, grapefruit and mineral. Lean in profile. Very good Meursault. — 4 months ago
