Might have opened this 2-3 years too early. Opened it on the advice of a former distributor of this wine and the fact that it was poorly stored before I came across it. Drank over three days. Still a fantastic reminder of how great and complex a Napa Cab can be. This is also the last of my Krannert wines if that means anything to anyone. @Jacob Emberton, CSW — 6 years ago

1995 In magnum. Don't need to say much. If you like great Bordeaux, this is it. Still showing pretty young but is unfortunately my last bottle. Carpe diem. — 9 years ago
Should I have waited? Yes? No? It was the last one of my 6 pack of this vintage. We drank one per year since '09. Happy anniversary to us! — 9 years ago
Thanks Brad great last wine! — 11 years ago
Happy birthday J. Fantastic at 38 years. Not showing any ill affects of age. Velvety with nice juicy fruit and secondary notes of leather, bitter chocolate, forest floor and only soft thread of tertiary notes on the finish. Still had tannins. This was 2 of 2 and this drank as good, if not better, than the one last year. A pleasure.

Outstanding cab/merlot blend. Sister of sexual chocolate. Excellent price point. Around $20. — 6 years ago
Another visit to this lovely wine and another confirmation that 2008 was a great vintage and most probably one of the best value vintages in the last decade in Bordeaux. The wine is rich, round, elegant and smooth, already ready for drinking, with earthy notes, coffee, black current, wild berries, full round body, lovely tannins, elegant long finish. A pleasure. My score 91, drink to 2025 — 7 years ago
Just hitting its stride. Much more well integrated than I last tasted two years ago. — 8 years ago
Vintage 1996. Bought in 2002. Drank last week but app went to different page each time I tried to rate it. — 9 years ago
2004 vintage. This is not a champagne I thought worthy of the hype when I last drank this about 9 months ago. Maybe I was too quick to write it off. It seems to have grown in weight, concentration and complexity in that short period of time. The apples have become more precise, there is some stone fruit coming to the fore and even hints of minerality. There's some richness on the back of the palate now that adds character to the impression of the wine. The finish is more exact and there's depth of fruit missing last time round. The length is long and fairly persistent. Although a way off outstanding, it's become very good and clearly might improve further. — 9 years ago
Clear deep purple colour with watery rim. Clean medium intensity aroma with minty black cherry and black currant with hint of oak smokiness and vanilla. Dry on the palate full bodied medium alcohol with medium acidity and high but smooth velvety tannin. Flavours of earthy black currant, black cherry, and vanilla. Flavours last through into its long pleasant finish. Very good quality, drink now but can age for another 3 to 5 years for a even more balanced complexity. — 10 years ago
Just like the African Bush, don’t come to the Egyptian Desert without it.
Celebrating the ending of a great trip on the eve of our last day at The Old Cataract on the Nile River with one of our very favorite N/V Rosé Champange’s.

9.3 on the Billecart-Salmon Rosé and a 9.9 on our trip! — 5 years ago
Tasted blind. Reddish tawny, translucent and old looking. Awesome nose. Notes of leather saddle, pencil lead, currants, cherry, soil, and some toasted hickory. All guessed 61 Bordeaux. This got better through the night and was at its best in the last glass. — 6 years ago
Light purple in the glass. Medium body on the palate. A bit earthy on the tip of the tongue along with some spice. A nice lingering and spicy finish. Detected some cherry on the palate and finish. The last of my case of wine I brought back with me from Tuscany. I'm surprised I held on to this for so long. This wine aged very nicely. — 8 years ago
Pretty. Better than last year . — 9 years ago
Incredible. An onslaught of flavors; from dried cherry and craisins to potpourri, salumi and gun smoke. While soft and elegant, such a masculine wine. Wanted it to last forever. — 10 years ago

From the 163rd edition - big dark flavor with very refined bubbles. Very griping champagne. Quite the contrast from last nights Blancs de Blancs — 4 years ago
