A tasty chateauneuf du pape inspo bursting with ripe berry flavors, some spice and a nice medium finish. Medium complexity liquid fruit roll up; very easy drinking. — 9 months ago
As one can expect for a Dave Phinney wine, this is rich and ripe, but it has so much more to offer at year 14. Blueberry, fig, tobacco, cracked pepper, dried mushroom, and slight hint of barnyard. On the palate it’s juicy yet soft and ultra smooth. The finish is long, candied, and earthy.
My 2nd and last bottle. At its peak. — 2 years ago
Nose is vanilla ice cream and and raspberries. Tastes beautiful at first with more fruity raspberry and vanilla cream goodness. As it develops it gets drier and more leathery. Delicious. — 3 years ago

Like this wine but doesn’t have the power that some of his other wines have pencil lead iron cherry fruit - liked it from an aromatic standpoint more than flavor and finish — 7 years ago
