Great wine! — 8 years ago
Sadly my last bottle of this year. This has aged well but it was time to enjoy. Well balanced and delightful in your mouth. It was enjoyable to the last sip. — 8 years ago
Lets go Warriors! Very nice but drink quickly! — 9 years ago
Immediately upon opening the aromas remind me of a poorly ventilated English basement, or how a cave used to age cheese might smell. The age has dried the fruit character, and sprinkled in some decaying rose petals. The palate on this wine has a surprisingly intense attack and amazing structure given the age. Not only that but this wine has a lengthy complexity you only dream about in a pinot. Well done Mr. Steinmark. — 9 years ago
1987. So much fruit still. Perfect with the steak! — 10 years ago
Another fantastic wine from GB. Rich tobacco aroma. Powerful first taste that lingers into a lasting wonderful flavor. — 11 years ago
Bartholomew is the sister winery of Gundlach Bundschu located a few miles down the road. One of the wines we tasted was this great Rosé. I left with a bottle. — 12 years ago
KayLynn brought this to the brunch. — 5 years ago
This is close to a perfect bottle of wine. Jammy yet minerally. I love this winery so much. — 6 years ago
This had just about the perfect amount of age on it. Smoothest mouthfeel I've ever experienced in a cab. Everything was so well-integrated and seamless. The slightly dried red fruit had a perfect patina of vanilla. The tannins started dusty and then just melted to provide a deliciously viscous finish that went on and on... — 7 years ago
Its a good wine after you either aerate it or let it sit for an hour — 9 years ago

Very good Syrah! Love me some Gundlach! — 5 years ago
Very light zin. Smell of library (enjoyable). Plum, ink, and alcohol. Very nice. — 6 years ago
Dark berries, black current and herbal flavors open up to a medium light lush mouth feel with chocolate flavors, peppers and herbal tannins. A long finish. Interesting and delicious. — 8 years ago
Pretty tight early, with lemon and orange rind aromas coming through. After it warmed a bit, mangoes and peaches appeared and the musty basement notes that typically accompany a wine of this age. The palate was very complex. Still enough acid to support the lemon curd and passion fruit that was left. Secondaries included cheese rind and rotting oak. — 9 years ago
Great fruit and balance. Zippy. — 10 years ago
