Perfect summer Chardonnay! Sunshine in every glass — 6 years ago
Great expression of the revived Piemonte Arneis grape. Citrus, melon and peach in a very crisp white. Medium bodied and wonderful with a bit of sunshine — 7 years ago
Sunshine happy yum. These wines can age forever. 1980 is soooooper fresh. — 8 years ago
Liquid sunshine! Easily one of the best whites of the year so far is this Condrieu from Yves Cuilleron. A drop-dead gorgeous wine that soaks the palate with a multitude of tropical fruits and a cotton wool texture, whilst keeping the drama alive with good acidity. The finish is impressively long and ends on a distinctly dry, slightly bitter note that only adds to the overall complexity. Incredibly enjoyable and - whisper it - a bloody good accompaniment to takeaway tandoori chicken. — 5 years ago
Drinking great, captures what I often love in Santa Barbara Syrahs; CA sunshine in the fruit, generous without overbearing, balanced acids. Ripe black and blue fruit, almost liqueur-like, sweet spices, licorice whip, roasted coffee. Certainly NW in style but very well made. — 6 years ago
This is clearly intended to portray a Burgundian profile. And it largely succeeds. The Chablis-like nose has wet stony earth and apply fruit. Crisp acids. Minerally flavors. The problem — and this is a problem I see whenever someone in a region with abundant sunshine actively tries to rein in the ripeness by picking early — is that by picking before the time when nature gives you the ripeness IT wants, the wines somehow lack depth and feel a little “clipped.” So, in sum, I like this, but it lacks the depth to be profound. — 7 years ago
This wine is the whole of nature blessed by Helios — a ray of sunshine magnified by a dewdrop, a honeycomb with the residual buzzing of laboring bees, the glow of a buttercup on a baby’s chin. Happy, bright, a spiritual salve. NH Wine Store, buy and save for a rainy day. High marks for mood enhancement. — 8 years ago
Soooo reticent. We enjoyed this over three days, not because we wanted to but because we HAD to. If you are looking for immediate gratification, this wine AIN'T it. You enjoy this wine for the bright future ahead of it, and the wonderful family behind it.
Do yourself a favor and drink the Tanbark Hill while listening to a podcast where the Genius Mr. Togni explains his adventures in wine. A filet mignon and fingerling potatoes wouldn't be a bad idea either. Bordeaux class, California sunshine! — 8 years ago
So I believe this Sunshine Vineyard is from the Wappo Hill portion of the Hartwell Estate......sorry now this portion belongs to the Realm Cellars estate. Medium to deep garnet red with bricking on the edges. Stinky and savory on the nose straight from the get go. Opened up over the next half hour or so with stoney notes, a touch smoky and soft red cherries. Well integrated and smooth, moderate tannins (6/10). Beautiful aged characteristics on the palate with notes of dusty black cherries, a touch of chalk and dust, mushrooms, truffles, and also gains some aged red cherries. Medium plus body with a super long finish. This bottle has aged very well. Drink now if you like power in your Cabernet but this will keep for few more years. Drink till 2020. — 9 years ago

Pronounced nose of grapefruit pith kiwifruit and sour peach that slides across the palate with an underlying ribbon of lime zestiness. Sunshine in a sundress type Glou Glou — 6 years ago
