So I believe this Sunshine Vineyard is from the Wappo Hill portion of the Hartwell Estate......sorry now this portion belongs to the Realm Cellars estate. (Moonracer) Highly recommend checking out if you find it @Carl Fischer @Shay Aldriedge @Ron R @Martin G Rivard @David L @Isaac Pirolo @Roman Sukley @Paul T
Medium to deep garnet red with bricking on the edges. Stinky and savory on the nose straight from the get go. Opened up over the next half hour or so with stoney notes, a touch smoky and soft red cherries. Well integrated and smooth, moderate tannins (6/10). Beautiful aged characteristics on the palate with notes of dusty black cherries, a touch of chalk and dust, mushrooms, truffles, and also gains some aged red cherries. Medium plus body with a super long finish. This bottle has aged very well. Drink now if you like power in your Cabernet but this will keep for few more years. Drink till 2020. — 7 years ago
The wine was clear, clean and had a bright sunshine yellow color. Aromas of green fruit and citrus were noted along with some floral edges. The wine is a blend of 49% Sauvignon Blanc Musqué, 36% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Semillon; 67% of the grapes came from Napa and 33% from Sonoma. The palate showed sweet ripe grapefruits, fleshy apple and some lemony nuances. The finish was better than medium, showing some spice and a touch of earthy minerals. Outstanding! — 8 years ago

Give a Bordeaux winemaker California sunshine and magic happens! The nose is dark fruit, very dark fruit, with tobacco and anise notes. The palate is blackberry, boysenberry, black currant compote with licorice and some tobacco. Outstanding. — 9 years ago

A restrained classic CdeP with 10% Mourvèdre to provide some soul. An 05 so has gotten supple but still a wallop PC fruit. Bottled sunshine. Enjoyed at home with roast chicken — 10 years ago

Soooo reticent. We enjoyed this over three days, not because we wanted to but because we HAD to. If you are looking for immediate gratification, this wine AIN'T it. You enjoy this wine for the bright future ahead of it, and the wonderful family behind it.
Do yourself a favor and drink the Tanbark Hill while listening to a podcast where the Genius Mr. Togni explains his adventures in wine. A filet mignon and fingerling potatoes wouldn't be a bad idea either. Bordeaux class, California sunshine! — 7 years ago
Bright sunshine. Lisa wants to drink this on the porch of our plantation overlooking the Spanish moss covered elms. Lemon, orange peel, stones. Living and vibrant. Great acid/fruit balance. Med+ length. ~chalky texture. Delicious now but good to age. — 8 years ago
Weeknight meals enhanced by @matthiasson_wine 2014 #Chardonnay! And beach napkins of course. A little Cali sunshine wrapped around tight acid, fruit, freshness, and deliciousness! This is phenomenal! A @wineyourway_lv pick for the month of August. 😎😎 — 9 years ago
Great local American pils. Great on a hot day. Where is the lake? — 9 years ago
Rays of sunshine. Candle wax, strawberry hard candy. High- acidity, light body, finishes with a thin string of light berry sweetness. Top 2 rose, up there with Lopez which it shares a certain waxy quality. — 10 years ago
Summer! Like sunshine in a glass. — 11 years ago

This wine is the whole of nature blessed by Helios — a ray of sunshine magnified by a dewdrop, a honeycomb with the residual buzzing of laboring bees, the glow of a buttercup on a baby’s chin. Happy, bright, a spiritual salve. NH Wine Store, buy and save for a rainy day. High marks for mood enhancement. — 6 years ago
