Love this Champagne! Lovely hint of Girl Scout shortbread cookie flavor! Bright, brioche and complex! — 7 years ago
Beautiful dessert wine. Happy birthday to me!! 😁🎂 had a wonderful day at work. I have the best friends ever! Then dinner with my husband. Now waiting for my daughter and grand daughter to come over for cake. This wine is a beautiful golden color, shortbread on the nose and candied orange all in the mouth. I don’t drink sweet dessert wine very often but I really do enjoy it when I do. — 8 years ago

Stone, spice, black cherries and shortbread in the house! Silky smooth with a beautiful garnet color, but little bouquet. Still the wine went very well with Oscar’s prime rib. — 5 years ago
Bright lemon zest, golden apple, pineapple, with secondary shortbread and guava fruit notes. Fruit forward with hints of toast and yeast. Palate hits with soft tropical citrus and orchard fruit, developing into a round mid-palate and driving acidity to finish. Length is above par and evolves. Minerality tingles on the palate. Excellent QPR from #winetext. Happy New Year!! — 6 years ago

My best bargain find of 2017 so far!

A few wines from last week’s 4th Friday event!
I was craving some bubbles, so I opened this. For Bollinger, I expected this to be a touch more rich and powerful. What I got was a fairly elegant and finesse driven rosé champagne. Very red berry fruit driven upfront with some strawberry cream, toasted biscuit, and sea salted rhubarb fruit. So energetic on the palate but a fine balance between blanc de noir style vs rosé. Gummy red fruits with some strawberry shortbread and some sweetness toward the finish. I think these are likely better closer to release (as opposed to their special Cuvee sibling, which can be marvelous with a touch of age). — 6 years ago
A superb 🇬🇧 sparkler that everybody thought was a good champagne blind 👍 At £38 it’s not cheap but it’s one of the best I’ve had from U.K. - thanks for the recommendation @hawkinsbros summer fruits in a glass 😎

Lemon rind, white flowers, golden apple, pineapple, and shortbread abound on a layered nose. Palate is acid driven, but in balance. Tart green and underripe yellow apple mix with zesty wet stone. Finish is savory and lingers. — 8 years ago
Flamboyant aromas of orange/honeysuckle and green drupe fruits. Light on the front of the palate yet gains steam from there. Warm shortbread with a side of macadamia nuts. Hint of tarragon and white pepper make for a minute plus finish. Decant for at least an hour. — 8 years ago

Pre birthday drinks celebrating 3 more birthdays than I thought I'd see 👍😍

Treat from a wine excursion to PEC 2013. A delicious Pinot Noir "Noble Rot" dessert or apertif wine. 2 days ago when opened it had an effervescent on tongue a bit distracting but apricot marmalade flavour came through. Revisted the remaining half bottle tonight and "tingle" was faded in mouth. This allowed us to truly enjoy with warm smoked garganzola and guyere shortbread cookies. Truffle notes really cameout on backend - well worth the wait! — 9 years ago

Excited as always to shock people with this wine in a tasting!
This #Chardonnay from #Burgundy always exceeds regional expectations ~ hillside vineyard choice, late harvest for extreme ripeness, lengthy fermentation and bottle aging create a wine of “unique and oft-controversial bottling due to predictable traces of residual sugar. While the wine does not drink sweet, it does have an extraordinary richness of flavor and texture along with its characteristic firm acidity and minerality.”
