Sonoma County Chardonnay 2021

Nice golden color. Aromas of yellow delicious apple, lemon, grapefruit and a touch of white flowers. Pallet features the apple along with unripe peach, melon, pineapple and dried herbs. Minerals and a touch of oak on the nicely long finish. Nice creamy texture and vibrant acidity. Great mouthfeel! — a year ago

Heritage Reserve Carneros Merlot 2001

This is the 2001 Shug “Heritage Reserve“ Carneros Merlot which apparently has around 6% cab in it. There is just enough fruit left to pair it with my attempt at Persian beef kebabs (Kubideh) which I hope will make my father-in-law proud. — 4 years ago

Rancho Salina Moon Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2015

Beautiful Bordeaux #sonomavalley Moon Mountain AVA blend by Schug; 48% #merlot / 45% #cabernetfranc / 5% Cab/ 2% Petit Verdot - mesmerizing aroma featuring violets, bramble fruit, white pepper, earth - well-concentrated fruit on the palate that brings up coffee, chocolate and jammy notes but all framed nicely with robust acidity but soft tannins in the finish. This is what a Sonoma Valley Bordeaux blend should be. — 4 years ago

Rouge de Noirs Carneros Brut Pinot Noir 2018

100% Pinot Noir, a 3-day cold soak, saignée method, results in a purple-pink fuschia color with aromas of red berry fruits, biscuits and floral spice, spent 24 months on tirage (on the yeast). On the palate flavors strawberry, rose hips and sweet herb spice, nice mousse and bubble flow. Medium+ finish, lively acidity ending with fruit, spice and yeasty mineral character. Pair with Salmon with dill sauce or sushi. — 10 months ago
