Nothing short of spectacular. Best picnic wine ever. — 4 months ago
Medium bodied. Toasty and bruised tropical fruits. Mango caramel. Guava. Meant for food. — 7 months ago
Purple, dense, high pigment extraction. Black currant and tobacco on nose, black plum and blackberry in mouth. Medium skin astringency, tart and puckery but fruit forward. Light alcohol. Love this style of Malbec, highly drinkable. Worth decanting but I lack the patience and just dig in. — a month ago
Wow! It is so rich. Golden color! Almost Sherry like! — 3 months ago
New vintage! Pale yellow, excellent clarity. Citrus, thyme and black pepper notes in nose. High acid, good body, lots of skin tannins given blanc de noir style of 100% Cabernet Franc. Flavor descriptors of lime peel, lime, thyme and black pepper apply. Mineral finish — 5 months ago
meaty, floral, garrigue, finessed, firm but open tannins. — 9 months ago
In 1877, Illario and Leopoldo Ruffino laid the foundations of their dream to make Italian wines from the heart of Tuscany. Medium Ruby red color with aromas of dark berry fruit and earthy spice, blend of 80% Sangiovese with rest Merlot and Cab Sauv. On the palate flavors of black cherry and plum with tobacco, pepper and earthy cedar notes. Full-bodied, well balanced soft drying tannins on a smooth medium+ finish. Grab some Italian food and enjoy the great value wine. Consistent quality, a Fav!! — 7 days ago
‘21 enjoyed in late 2025. At our home about a mile from the Mark Ryan Woodinville tasting room. — 3 months ago
Excellent clarity, moderate pigment extraction, ruby red with purple tinge. Raspberry and white pepper aromas, raspberry, white pepper and black tea flavors, as promised on back label. Lots of loose seedy tannins on finish with a kids’ grape fruit juice aftertaste. Needs time to open. After an hour, tart, moderate astringency. After three hours, the raspberry and white pepper flavors were fully resolved, but the skin tannins were still largely expressive with all their astringency. Decant even longer! — 6 months ago

It’s always easy to be biased for a wine you had some small part in contributing to (I worked at the vineyard right before this harvest) but this is authentically excellent. Has aged extremely well. With a 1.5 hour decant and a slight chill, the classic dusty Rutherford fruit with very nice acid on the finish comes through in spades. Very long finish and quite in balance. Perfect pairing with some beautiful dry aged strip steaks to round out Thanksgiving weekend. — 5 days ago
