Sanford & Benedict Chardonnay 2019

Medium gold color. Wine is still young. Super silky texture. Nose of camomile, butter, and minerals. High quality, refined wine. Give this a few years and it will give any top White Burg a run for its money! — 2 months ago

Vista Al Rio Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2016

Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, forest floor and cedar spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with cedar notes, black pepper, cinnamon spice and earthy herbs. Full-bodied, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak and a spicy earthy character. Good now! — 3 years ago

Block 6 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2021

We had the 2021 Vintage on 6/10-11/25. An excellent PN with scents and tastes of black cherry, cinnamon and minerality. Well balanced. New World. Fruit forward. Excellent mouthfeel with a good finish. We purchased at the winery. Would buy more — 7 months ago

La Entrada Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay 2017

Sourced from La Rinconada vineyard, medium lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach, lemon citrus and honey notes, complex with mineral tones and vanilla oak notes. Ok balance, screaming acidity, medium+ finish ending with fruit and earthy mineral character. Drink now! A bit pricey! — 10 months ago

Santa Barbara Historic Vineyards Collection Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Chardonnay 2020

One of the best example of ripe style California Chardonnay I have ever had. It hits with a savory character of grilled pineapple, then gives away to a variety of ripe stone fruit, a roux of spiced oak and even further back, a crushed rock minerality that keeps the ensemble lifted and enticing. The pallet is even more surprising as it confirms the stone fruit, adds a touch of citrus and slaps you with tingling stony acidity that keeps going and going. The juxtaposition of opulence and lean elegance is outstanding. After drinking through some flabby 2018s recently, this is a smacking reminder of why I fell in love with Jim’s wines to begin with. Wow!!!! — 7 months ago

Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay 2019

A blend from Sanford & Benedict and La Rinconada vineyards, aged for 11 months in 25% new French oak, medium lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits and nutty floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear, lemon citrus zest and melon, complex with mineral tones and soft creamy oak adding sweet spice. The wine was fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, well balanced on a long finish ending with fruit and mineral character. Nice, drink now! — 10 months ago
