you’d never think a sangiovese / merlot / cab sav / syrah mix at this price point would have so much life to it — 4 months ago

Malvasia Lipari 60%, carricante 40%. Light yellow, med+ aromas of citrus, salt, peach, med+ acidity and intense flavors of lemon, peach & apple. Can’t say long finish but the lingering acidic cut balanced by its fruitiness is outstanding. Buy more. — 8 months ago
Zesty aromatic white wine, minerals, saline — a month ago
“Ana’s-Cëtta” is the white #Nascetta wine by @elviocogno who helped bring the variety back from near extinction in the 1990s in the commune of Novello, #Langhe, #Piedmont.
The 2022 delivers aromas of honeysuckle, white peach, verbena and Mediterranean herbs. Apple, pear, quince and pineapple flavors then come into play. This quickly followed by a waxy texture, balanced by lime zest, with notions of crushed minerals on the finish.
The winery suggests it is “ideal as an accompaniment to vegetable dishes, white meats, raw fish, oysters and creamy cheeses.” Maybe not as ideal, but paired with rigatoni, sausage and fennel allowed some contrast to expose and heighten many of the sensations…BRAVO! — 3 months ago

If one person in the relationship likes salinity and minerality and reads The New Yorker. And the other likes perfumey but still dry whites and reads The Economist. Well this is your wine. Cloudy/unfined. Unripe peach, honeysuckle, and salt. — 2 months ago
Pale straw yellow color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and herb spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple with slight citrus notes and herb spice. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with salty mineral character. Very Nice! — 2 months ago

Poured into a Boa decanter about 30min prior to service. The 2016 “Santa Chiara pours a brilliant, deep and slightly hazy copper gold color with medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with desiccated apricots, dried apples, yellow flowers, and curaçao. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannins. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is super long and super amazing. This is such a wonderful bottle of Bea. When his whites hit, well…they really hit. Drink now with a short decant or over the next 3-5 years. Surprisingly complex, barnyard smell, unfiltered cider, grapefruit minerality, apple, funky. Better with food than on its own. Initial effervescence disappears quickly. Touch of honey. — 7 months ago
Wonderful light and flavorful. Light golden color. Great with seafood. — 9 months ago

It’s been a while delectable, but I am still here 😂 and determined to get back to recording stuff here as it really is a great resource! And this wine is a great place to start.. It’s totally over delivering: lemon & rocks. Zippy acidity even with some age.! Great with cheese, but really looking forward to it with triggerfish & a nice spring salad 💫💫💫 — a month ago
