If I was a man of greater means, this tasting would represent an annual ritual of sampling. As it was, we got a one time peek into the upward climb of such intensity and focus- all coiled violets and crushed black fruits. It’s so coiled it almost snarls in the glass. Foreign Objects Brewing “Ritual Colors” New American Hoppy Ale”. DDH 8.0% ABV — 7 years ago
On the nose; grassy & herbal notes but lighter than the others in the area. Just a touch of cat pee, green bean, white citrus; grapefruit, lemon, lime, green apple, pineapple with yellow & white spring flowers.
The body is leaner & beautiful. The mouthfeel is; creamy delicate, fresh and ripe. Grassy & herbal notes but lighter than the others we’ve had in Casablanca. White citrus; grapefruit, lemon, lime, green apple, pineapple, green bean, very fine powdery, chalky minerality with yellow & white spring flowers. Very nice round acidity, and a beautiful, elegant polished finish. Really nice and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc that is well priced.
Photos of; the view of the Andes Mountains out of their entrance, a very old press that decorated their entrance, the concrete eggs that are used to ferment part of this Sauvignon Blanc and the view of their Viña from the parking lot. — 8 years ago

This wine is super refined and elegant. The amount of acid was noticeable at this point - and the tannins are strong even after a four plus hour decant. This is one for the long haul. It was cool to taste this side by side with the ‘12 vintage as well as next to the ‘12 regular Estate. All so different yet all so good. Such wonderful wines it’s sad they’re no longer making them. — 9 years ago

Holy hey wish I’d had this when I was writing my piece on Grenache BUT consider this a late entry. The fam puts Grenache through a more intricate than usual procedure including a drying in the dark ritual for some stems. And that hand picked attention really adds some magic. This one has the ability to stand tall and solid and remain ethereal in soul. As good Grenache should be. It contains multitudes. And (their words not mine but it’s accurate) ninja tannins. They slice you in a way you aren’t even aware of. — 8 years ago

Very gentle Rosé. The serving ritual is worth ordering the wine! — 9 years ago
Complex mineral flavors. Very smooth. A very different Chardonnay then I'm used to. Liked it very much — 9 years ago

AMAZING BORDEAUX that’s still able to shine, decanted, after a few hours of opening! In ritual notes of damp leather, subdued / dried fruits and felt past its prime. 2 hours later - completely blossomed into this robust, aged, beautiful almost “fruit forward” masterpiece with almost olive overtones. I’m sure it was a great bottle 10, 20, even 30 years ago - but now it’s almost better as it’s transformed into this subtle, wonderful wine which was able to hold its own against aged cheese and roasted beef. A true treasure I’m glad we uncorked!! (BTW - cork was LONG - get your longest screw out for this one)!!! — 4 years ago
Continuing our daily quarantine ritual of enjoying something from the “cellar” for happy hour, this is the best so far (out of many very good bottles). Simply heavenly: perfectly balanced depth and brightness. — 6 years ago
