Always a crowd pleaser whether it’s a crowd of 10 or, in this case, a crowd of two. A very powerful wine, raspberry and anise explode from the glass. Very fruit- forward on the palate with dark berry flavors, a hint of sweetness. It’s very nice nice and I love how consistent it is vintage after vintage.

Feb 2nd, 2018The ‘12 has gotten even better since I had it last. This easy drinking crowd-pleaser delivers loads of raspberry on the nose. The palate is fruit forward with dark fruit and baking spices. A great Cali take on the Rhone blend. Great balance and a smooth finish.

One of my favorite wines from Relic, a Northern California, Southern Rhône, extremely well executed. The ‘12 was a particularly good year for this one.

An initial California 2012 look - no rhyme/reason...a little Cab, Prop. Red, Pinot and possibly an outlier or two. The rest are tagged the same. This one ranked #5.
