6.15- camping w my favorite man and red wine - couldn’t be happier :) — 6 years ago
‘Reserva’. Nice balanced red blend. Has a vibrant, robust nose. Flavors are bitter, sweet, herbal, forestal, and clean. Hits with a bit of licorice and plenty of ‘complex’ red wine action. I’m a sucker for this tree too. It’s just so cool... — 6 years ago
Been trying to track down the Comando G wines for ages, and though this may only be their village-level wine it did not disappoint. Leaping from the glass initially with aromas of Vicks 44, red licorice, and smoky spice, the wine quickly tightens up and starts to betray its granitic heritage, as well as a delightfully complexing barnyard-y, Bretty edge. Whole clusters lend a wonderful, angular frame of tannin that help to enclose a ripe, glossy core of red stone fruit (cherry, plum). The minerality here gives this otherwise punchy, mouthwatering wine a really effortless feel, like a raptor riding thermals. Gobsmacking stuff. — 7 years ago
Dry. Not a lot of depth. But good drinking. Slight bitterness. — 8 years ago
Weekend in San Jose for the Queen concert!! Enjoying a pinot and the pool! Pop and pour (young...would of loved a few more years on the bottle). A fascinating dark ruby red. On the nose: red fruit, plum, vanilla, olives. Taste: bright red cherry, spice, herbs, some chocolate...nice concentration and finish with a little tannic kick. — 6 years ago

Best Rosé I’ve had, but I’m not a huge rosé fan hence the rating. But it’s good! — 7 years ago
Now this is some good monkey! LoL. A really nice sour beer to enjoy either with friends and a grill or by yourself watching Netflix in your underwear — 7 years ago
In my opinion, the lower ratings are probably caused by not holding the wine long enough. Nice wine at this point. — 8 years ago
A great surprise. Enough sweetness that I wouldn't drink without food, but it has bright citrus and pineapple with honey on the finish. Paired wonderfully with Christmas gumbo (duck, turkey and andouille). — 9 years ago
This Pa brewery is rocking my world. Close my eyes and taste this, and I drift back to my time when I lived in Waterloo, Brussels. Label says 9.5% abv, but it’s tucked in nicely. Woody notes on the palate, with cardamom, cloves and licorice. Heart-warming as it slips down the hatch. Well done! — 6 years ago
Had this 1year ago. Founded in 1979 by John Shafer, went from riding trains in Chicago to riding a TD-9 tractor in Napa. Blend of 56%Merlot, 28%Cab Sauv & 16%Malbec, aged for 20 mos French oak, despite 15.3% ABV, it’s well balanced. Wonderful berry fruit aromas, flavors of cherry, jammy blackberry and rasp with notes of cacao and sweet herbs. Lingering finish ending with earthy mineral. Had this with a USDA prime Fillet. Drink now & over next few years, any longer the wine will lose vibrant quality. Nice! — 7 years ago
A little bricking, but not to worry, it is fantastic! A beautiful floral nose riding over just-resolved tannins. No decant, but it could probably benefit from an hour or so — 7 years ago
Definitely would purchase it again. — 8 years ago
Very nice wine, great acid at the end. Not a strong smell, great taste. — 8 years ago

Full body and not too sweet or tart. Notes of “dark grape skin”. Very nice. — 6 years ago
