The Beaux Frères Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012

2012 | Pinot Noir
Beaux Frères; Beaux Frères Vineyard (Estate)
Ribbon Ridge; Willamette Valley, OR, USA
(93-95; Drink 2027-37)

Delayed 2023 Thanksgiving with the extended family.

Much to look forward to here, all the B-F traits to love, strawberry, black raspberry, plum, white pepper, still bold and wanting several more years to really enter the zone for my palate.
The 2004 vintage is drinking perfectly now, a respectable presentation of the AVA. I can't wait for this to catch up.

Enjoyed a lot. Light bodied, subtle floral notes followed by blueberries and clean finish. Holds a nice level of acidity but seems it shows the sign of fading within couple of years. — a month ago

Bryce Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013

Picked up last year while in Oregon. Had more bite than I expected given other 2018s from Ribbon Ridge that I’ve tried but loved the peppery and lively finish! — 4 months ago

The Upper Terrace Pinot Noir 2016

Earth, barnyard, crunchy berries, depth and breadth envelops the palate. Layers upon layers. Plenty left to give. Fantastic offering from the Etzel’s. — 5 days ago

Earthy, meaty, leathery, darkly fruited. Class, breed, finesse. Classic old school Ribbon Ridge Pinot. This wine needed these 15 years to express all that. I expect at least another five years of aging potential. — a month ago

Kings Ridge

Willamette Valley Grown Pinot Noir 2022

Color of light ruby with cranberry tone. Nose of milky vanilla, cranberry and raspberry, and sweet ripe currants. Taste follows the nose but leans on the sweet milky vanilla side, some more zest and cranberry note, and a bit tinkering bittersweet. Aftertaste shows some warmth. Clean and easy to drink. On par. — a month ago
