Very creamy and rich. A lot of toast. Felt like it was moving toward secondary flavors. It was good. — 20 hours ago
Listed at 12.8%. Hitting well above its weight. Very bright fruit and savory — 19 days ago
Red fruited aromatics dominate - very alluring. A toffee note amongst the red and black cherry aromas. Palate showing cherry, strawberry and tick of raspberry. Great clarity to the fruit driven palate. Oak in the background. A very professional and quality new world Pinot Noir. — 11 days ago

2008 | Pinot Noir
Goldeneye; Estate
Mendocino; Anderson Valley, Philo, CA
(91-93; Drink 2024-33)
2H decant
I really enjoy these Anderson Valley PN's with some time away, teetering on dried cherry, over-ripe cherry on the nose and faint stem notes. Palate shines with dried strawberry, dried cherry, faint forest floor and shaved bittersweet chocolate. I believe this will be in prime form in 2028-30+.
Enjoyed with a Cherry wood smoked pork tenderloin, Kosher salt/pepper rub. Pork was topped with a mushroom/Madeira reduction, great pairing of wood smoke, fortified wine & mushrooms.
Smoked dinners are interesting here, as normally I'm getting licked/bitten by a cat though the entire meal; he's our foodie guy, so par for the course. — 20 days ago
Wife and I cracked this bottle in honor of two friends that we lost yesterday. Strawberry, blood orange, and even light notes of cinnamon. Very good Pinot noir. Never disappointed with Duckhorn. Rest in peace Zach and Chris, hope you’re drinking all the good stuff up in heaven. — 3 days ago
"Odedi"
Inky in color with a short reddish rim.
Strong Nose with black fruits, cedar vanilla, chocolates, raisins, cooked cherries, Indian spices, peppercorn, tobacco leaf and light smoke.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with alcohol infused cherries, black plums, blackberries, cedar, vanilla, spices, dried fruits, espresso, cola, light herbs, chocolates and peppercorn.
Long, tangy finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This 8-year-old Petite Sirah from California is really delicious now. Showing great complexity on the nose and palate.
Big, bold and extracted. Rich and fruit forward.
Peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely over the next few years. I really enjoyed how complex it has become in the last few years since I last had it.
Still powerful, and good right out of the bottle.
A good sipping wine that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
